Why do you want codecs?

k-lite mega codec pack has everything you might ever need in it. No local link though but worth the bit of int bandwidth I'd say.
 
We will have to rename the thread as "Things to do when the International Pipes are maxed out"
 
Irony!

Never been capped before. Used MWeb for years. And the week after they announce uncapped ... I get capped - and their system doesn't allow me to add cap (should I want to?) and their call centre closes ridiculously early.

Now I have to look here for something to do.

How is it this and some other .com sites mentioned in this thread are local? :confused:

p.s. Sorry for not reading thru all 53 pages of the thread!
 
To ryan, some are hosting on Akamai servers which we are allowed to access (movie trailers , most of them from apple.com).

So even if they have a .com we can acccess them while on local :). Others can explain it better :P
 
For those of you who sometimes find the links don't open very quickly (google ads) you can simply block them using FF and adblock plus. Just check if there is something similar with the browser you using if it isn't FF. It may not help the site due to blocking their revenue but it sure makes things speedier, just let it go through once you back on international to help support them :)

This thread will soon be redundant, because of the cheap uncapped internet.

Most of the user who take advantage of local only bandwidth will properly switch to uncapped.
