Things to do when your cap runs out

Facebook worked fine in light of the SEACOM outage. I think it's because they use... er... Umaki, Ukami... something like that. Essentially, the site's templates and other commonly used information is mirrored locally using this technology :)

"raises hands..." Akamai :p

Pretty sweet technology.

Perhaps IS is testing something but hope they mirror everything on google ;) while capped :D

You can also access Facebook by while you’re capped by going to m.facebook.com then clicking on Try the alternative login. Once you logged in via the alternative login scroll to the bottom of the page and click touch site, then when you are in the touch scroll to the bottom and click full site. Then you're into the full Facebook site with local only bandwidth.

All images seem to be local. So im sure we can use it as a localhost :D

Even if you aren’t logged in you can still have some fun looking at pages and groups and pictures and... Other stuff you do when you bored :D

This is some great work going into this project. Unfortunately though, it is rather useless, with no real potential for South African users with low international gigs and large local gigs (like my 5gig international and 30 gig local - Telkom and 3 gigs Afrihost). How much of that 30 gigs are going to be used on visiting Mr. Delivery.co.za or Radox.co.za? Isn't there some way we can actually utilise our local gigs, I have not used ANY of my 30 gigs local for the last year.

There are literally dozens of threads with some tutorials or links to tutorials... no need to do that here ;)

Here a summery by some mbb user. i think you have to install the programs with international gigs though not to sure but here it is anyway

search is your best friend. its posted just search news servers. there's a full guide. very useful. my 384 line has never been given a rest. my pc never shuts down, news servers are the best, so jump on the band wagon.1. download grabit (or alternative) 2. install, set server to news.saix.net, leave user name/password blank 3. go to edit, preference set only two connections 4. reg on nzbsa.co.za(now open for reg) 5. download whatever 6. extract with winrar 7. double click on extracted item and wait PS try weekdays between 6pm and 6am and all weekend

As a gower mod I do think that they broke the cardinal rule of all brother hood of torrenting and that is to report a torrent tracker(gower) or any . I would be aware of these people on the other local torrent , NC and BF.

YOU broke it first btw, YOU were the first to randomly spam on another site, YOU were the ones who started this, I will be be finishing it by repaying the favour. :D And don't bring other well established sites into this, we never had a grudge with them and never will.

Don't act all innocent, you will be getting what's coming to you.. I hope you enjoy your day.
