Things to see/do in Cape Town

Myself, I wont do the wine thing, since I grew up on the Cape Flats, drinking the Late harvest Box, and therefore all wines remind me of that.

So I consulted with the SO as well.

She is more into the adventurist type stuff, as you put it. Kite surfing is a definite.

Wine tours, eating out, the "fancy stuff". Would be game for that. Heard the wine trams are good.

Also looking for some cultural/historical things. Historical landmarks/buildings/points of interest.

The Castle. Can't get much more historical than that.

orangezigcht market at granger bay is a must see weekends morning/lunch and i think wed eve.
There are a bunch in the winelands too, and few on specific days in the burbs

Catch the steam train from the waterfront to the Elgin Railway Market, currently running on Saturday and Sunday, the scenery is epic too :thumbsup:

Granger Bay @ V&A and Old Biscuit Mill still pumps on a Saturday.

Try out Belly of the Beast, Tjing Tjing, Madame Taitou,Downtown Ramen, elgr, Truth Coffee, Nonna Lina.

Might I also suggest a City Pass if you guys wanna do some sightseeing? It includes transport via the HOHO bus and includes entry to a lot of tourist spots.

Wed evenings are actually perfect. Fits the whole "remote work" lifestyle: Log off in the afternoon, go to a farmers market. :p
