Third-generation Google Chromecast leaked

The latest iteration of Google’s Chromecast device has been leaked ahead of its unveiling on 9 October 2018.

There is currently no information available regarding the specifications of the third-generation Chromecast, but Google is set to reveal more information next week.

It doesn't sound like it includes anything new, except a little better Bluetooth and Wi-Fi signal.

Still happy with previous version though. It is a VERY useful little device.

Put on wireshark or something for you to track usage and then turn your ADSL off...

I use Chromecasts at home, and they work well...

BUT there is something to be said for having an app on the TV or a box that holds everything... its nice to play around on a big interface.

For everything else: PlayStation
The only app not available on there is DSTV Now I think. Netflix, Amazon, YouTube....no need for an Android Box

I really do find the easiest, quickest and most convenient way of doing things is via Smart TV.

I guess the only negatives would be lack of Kodi.

2nd to a Smart TV, I'd choose an Android box
3rd I'd go with the ChromeCast if I really needed to

You can get a PS remote that looks and works more like a regular TV remote.

Only played with app a bit but I think you can use that too. I'd rather get the remote than use the app though.
