Third industrial revolution

Oh no. Someone else falls for the Jeremy Rifkin scam.

Like with almost every other scam, he weaves a seductive narrative that uses truths to smuggle in errors, untruths and even lies.

Of course the truths are true, but sorting out which statements are true and which are false takes some work. His is a tangled web of facts, false facts, opinions, assertions, projections, predictions, false history, misconceptions and lies carefully packaged to fool the credulous.

Fortunately there are many refutations and rebuttals just a few clicks away.

How many revolutions will it take for us to realise that human systems tend towards the hierarchical because they are human systems?

No doubt huge changes are coming, no doubt new power structures are coming. The fact is human nature hasn't changed that much despite the last two industrial revolutions or the political ones. Most of us are peasants and always will be.

A scam ? Which long lost uncle has he got that he wants your bank details to transfer money to? I agree some of his facts I disagree with but in general he makes sense .

It's not only uncles who scam, lost or not.

He's an apologist for those who want to eliminate "capitalism". In his ideal universe, everyone's money goes to the State.

Fair enough point taken . I like where the internet of things fit in and where the millennials stand in making things happen. Haven’t really understood work ethics of millennials when they come in for job interviews . They have a different work ethic to my generation.
