Adebayor is going on about how his move to City wasn't for the money... Tosser. Why can't footballers just be honest and tell the truth - it's not that bad FFS. Makelele was know for two things in England
1. Amazing ability to break an opponents rhythm coupled with a midfield work rate comparable to a horse.
2. Being innit for da money baaaaaaaaaaaaaay-beeeee
He came to Chelsea from Real Madrid for the money (basically said it straight up) and made no excuses for it. He could have gone where-ever he wanted, but chose a payday over a club that was a "guaranteed" League winner/ Champions League contender. No one thought less of him, because he always gave 100% no matter what.
Adebayor is all fscking talk. Manages to score 30 odd goals (bearing in mind the service he got... I mean really... had he not wasted so many chances, Arsenal would have won the league comfortably) and all of a sudden his self-value is exaggerated beyond measure. Instead of focusing on doing it one more time to prove it was no fluke he made eyes at Milan, got a bumper pay rise and then promptly fscked up (in comparison to the previous season).
Mercs were used in the olden days to win a war that a country had little hope of winning, and these types are everywhere where there is money to be made. Players like Adebayor are just cheap con-men who like to pull on your heart-strings to get a few pennies more without having much substance behind their claims.
Again... Tosser.
