My power is about to go off again.

It has gone off, consistently for the last couple of weeks, every bloody second day.

And not just at any time ... at 18:00 to 20:30 ... yesterday it went also went of from 10:00 to 12:30 (but that was okay ... ... ... ... see the mind-****ing??? ... People are starting to see loadshedding as okay!)

You just get home from work and then this faces you. You're left staring at a candle or lantern for the next 2 and a half ****ing hours.

But the thing that really vexes me is that it shouldn't have been so. It could have easily not been so.

I do feel sorry for those of you that go off at 8pm. Ours is 6pm to 8.30pm on the late schedule, still sucks but at least it's on when I want to watch some TV.

Like you say Picard, it's starting to feel normal. If there is one thing humans are good at it's adapting. At least most of the time Eskom has been on schedule lately.

This is what makes me so fkn mad! People are just taking this lying down. "Oh well loadshedding, better go and spend my December holiday money on a gas stove and some batteries". "At least it's only 2 hours". "Did you see the special on that generator?" In the 90's, this would have meant a brick through someone's dining room window. Now? Everyone just sits down and STFU. I feel like rioting!
