Was on a flight and there was this girl and her two brothers in the row infront and to the left of mine. They were playfully fighting with her the way siblings do. She got annoyed after a while and came to sit next to me.

Long story short, I said to her "I wish you were my sister so I could also touch you like that."

Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!

Edit : update : Woke up this morning to find a friendly FB message from her (she went through the trouble of searching for me there :D ) So turns out it wasn't an issue at all.

I was joking with her! I'm sure any other girl would have realized that.
 
It wasn't a child! Well it's hard to tell these days. But I'm sure it wasn't.
 
Good grief. How old does the girl look?

I used to travel with my brother as unaccompanied minors. If some scary older dude ( :p ) said that to me, I would've probably freaked out lol.

The one time I was somehow double booked for the flight and they had to take me off and "rebook" me onto the flight and I ended up at the back next to some 50-ish year old dude... I had the window seat :/ I was NOT impressed. Thankfully the airhostess found me a seat more forward (I didn't even ask lol she just told me I could move forward if I wanted).

Lol. I'm pretty sure she was atleast 24. Even if she wasn't, I could pass for 18 so she won't really think I'm a creepy old man, just a creepy guy :o

The problem is that things like what I said to her don't sound that creepy in my head until after I say them and see people's reactions. I tend to assume that everyone has a morbid and depraved sense of humor until proven otherwise.

Edit: just remembered she said she's busy with her honors so she's at least 21/22. Phew, no pedobear.

BTW we were talking for about 30mins before the dreaded line so it's not like I said it as soon as she got there.

When is too soon so "be yourself" with someone? I'm guessing 30mins is too soon. But anyway I'm sure she realized it was just a dumb joke and wasn't actually disturbed by it although someone people might have been.
