Hi, last night ran thrones HC, 1st part of which is quite heavy on the interrupts for the boss and also the spiritmender trash..

Now i have DBM addon installed, and as soon as the warning comes up i will use an interrupt, however they all seemed to fail, and we wiped as the healer couldnt heal through the massive shockwave dmg, and other dps were generally useless didnt know the fight. checked recount and not even trash interrupts went through.

Could this be a latency prob? i usually run around 300-450 ms?

cheers

Class?

I interrupt fine with Counterspell and Arcane Torrent.
We had a rogue who did absolutely nothing -.-

That's what my latency is and I'm sometimes on dispel duty with my lock (felpup). The way I do it is watch the shockwave cd bar so that I anticipate the cast better. But it's easier for me as I can't do 2 in a row as my cd doesn't allow it.
Also (you've probably already done this but just in case) bind your interrupt to a nice easy-to-mash key, maybe with a shift modifier so you don't hit it by mistake in the madness.

Last thing for this fight have 2 of your dps on cc duty to cc the caster adds when she shields herself and train rape the middle add then the cc'd casters.

This is one of those fights where if someone is given a duty and fails it's almost a guaranteed wipe.

I play with +- 250ms, and I am the tank usually, so I just do the interupts for myself, that way I know I won't die and I also know that we won't wipe because I almost need the least amount of healing on that boss. The other asswipes that don't watch out for waterwinds ect, will die. I can keep aggro of all 3 adds in p2 by simply pulling 2 together and then keep aggro on the far away one with spell reflect. I think DKs can have it even easier with grip.

well im a bear tank, so using skull bash

have done some reading, and it seems this spell is bugged in that it doesnt appear in recount as an interrupt, which prob explains why i cant see successful ones.

will try rebind the key, see if it helps.. maybe i am just too slow. as said above, much rather hit the interrupt myself then put my life in dps hands ^^

Also, those water elementals can be Dispelled (or spell stealed) when they're doing that Swell aoe.

It's all getting nurfed on Wednesday in 4.06 so i am sure interupts will no longer be needed.

Best advice someone gave me when I started raiding ages ago.

On your settings go and change so that the enemy's cast bar is shown on his name tag ;) This helps a hell of allot more so in PvP. Since you can see what the other person is casting and his cast time counts down on his icon. This helps with out latency. Use it, don't use it.

Oh wait, there are people playing without this? Imagine that!

also quartz and tidy threat plates work really well, basically only tanking addons which are essential IMO..

pugged SFK with much success interrupts and all.. possibly telkom was having issues (like a light drizzle, or someone down the road coughed too loudly)...

hope the nerf isnt going to be too severe.. kind of a nice feeling needing a peaceful cigarette after finishing a 5-man.
