Throttling is ridiculous: ISP

"He warns unsuspecting consumers to read the fine print before signing any ADSL contract."

Something I wish I had done before signing up with OpenWeb. Went through basically everything they had to offer in search of a decent connection. They all sucked!
Daily comms with support was a norm.

I don't get suckered easily. Signing up with OpenWeb was one of the times I was unfortunately suckered.

Won't trust this company again.

I asked rpm again about this, will probably get another "Thanks for the info" reply.

Shame, must suck to be caught out as well selling out.

Hurry only 23 accounts left
Granted you'll need to share it with 5 other people but don't miss out on this amazing deal!!!

Mike who are you with now? Looks like I have missed something with the OW furore that is coming down in this thread.

I moved over to Afrihost Business 6mbps uncapped.
Internet the way it is meant to be.

OW was seriously horrible. I eventually ended up on their gold package then gave up and moved on.

I'm on the 6mb GOLD account and I have been less affected than most it seems. Just updated my info from the OW feedback thread and I see where all the drama is coming from. What is the afrihost business account setting you back pm?

Ye - when I was doing the moans about my OW Gold account there were quite a lot of people with the same issues but also lots that were fine.
The major speed issues are typically between 11H00 and 17H30 on working days. I was working from home at the time so it effected me badly. Even Google would time out.
If you hold a normal day job working from the office, the chances of these issues affecting you would be slim.

Cannot remember what I pay for AH. R779 or something.

rpm sent me a PM about this and said that communication on it is now closed without entering into further discussions.

I see a pattern here. Mweb was once flavour of the year and look at their shaping asses now!
Then it was Openweb ...
Afrihost was also popular, but they ran out of bandwidth and shaped the unshapable.

Every dog has his day.

Maybe some clarity, which whatswhat is not willing to share…

The article was not done by MyBroadband, but by BusinessTech. They are editorially independent from us, and we actually had no idea that they decided to publish it.

Whatswhat made some serious accusations against us, which are simply false. I do not understand why he thinks he can make such accusations, and then continue with constructive discussions after that. Why not just ask for clarity first?
