Running Thunderbird (latest version)
About 2 months back it started timing out when trying to receive mail so have been access mail directly off the server.
Have tried - adjusting the timeout setting to 120 seconds, setting up the pop3 account in outlook express as well as disabling Bit defender anti virus to no avail.
What could be causing these to separate mail clients to both be timing out while trying to download mail?
Have also verified pop3 / user name and password with host
