Note that I am no longer involved with Telkom Internet.
When I still was, Showmax made a number of changes to how they deliver video, due to Apple pushing for TLS of everything (apparrently Apple backed off from their deadline, but Showmax finished anyway).
The changes made by Showmax cannot be accommodated by any method used to identify traffic except by a signature update from the equipment vendor (as they seemed to be using a very popular CDN for serving the TLS traffic). At the time, the support contracts were still being renewed (delayed by company restructuring), so we couldn't log support tickets.
Operations was aware of the issue, and before leaving the team I reminded them to log a ticket with the vendor (as the contract renewal was finished a day or two before I left).
I will try and find out from someone at ISP Operations.
Note that we did engage the other stakeholders at the time we were made aware of the issue (product management, Showmax etc.), none of whom had responded ...
(It should be working for Netflix and DStv catchup though)
