Tim should apologize for ML battery life

**Cassady - My battery is down 8% after 2.4 years. Maybe yours is faulty.

Fantastic... not. Thanks for the reply, will keep an eye on it. For what it's worth, I'm mightily impressed with my battery life - but [and it's a huge one], I had Lion for about a month, before switching to ML - so cannot really add anything useful to this... my previous laptop was a cheap Compaq running Windows that used to give me an hour unplugged, if I was lucky...

On my mid 2010 MBP 13" I can use my laptop for almost 4 hours on Mountain Lion

Its usable for 9.5 hours on Snow Leopard that I have gone back to.
A lot of people have found the Lions have some defect that is draining the battery.

Also depends on how the battery is used. Temperature, whether it is often run down completely. And each battery is different as well.

My MBP5,3 has been reduced to around 2 hours battery life. I had never really measured before but I am guessing at least 5 hours was feasible.

Quite frankly this is worse than the maps issue.

Sorry, not my fault

Call me paranoid... but i deleted the Battery Monitoring app I had installed... battery life has been ridiculous of late, maybe since this issue was flagged, I only started noticing it recently....

But it was also the time that I installed the battery app, and have had it running in the background since. Deleted it now, and will see if it makes a difference... Had the MBP wake from sleep on 93% - 60 mins later, and it's down to 51%, and dropping as I type this - and I've been doing some light browsing... Maybe I have unrealistic expectations - or it's simply ML that's to blame?

what i thought was improved life under the new patch was a placebo

though i have an mbp, seemingly mine doesn't qualify for this
