The question is simple: Do you agree with most of the sentiments of Tim Wise or do you disagree with most of the sentiments of Tim Wise? Please give me reasons for your answer. If you disagree, please point out the flaws in his speeches.

I know that I have linked people to his speeches already but nobody commented on him. For this reason, I have created a dedicated thread to discuss this truthful and brave man. Feel free to discuss the content of these speeches. Please think long and hard before you respond.

I'm white and I don't feel one iota of guilt.
Colonialism (mostly white), in less than 100 years, dragged Africa out of thousands of years of stagnation and ignorance but in the last 50 years all the chiefs have done their best to drag Africa back to its pre-colonial state.

Tim Wise is a prick with serious psychological issues and if he had one less brain cell he'd be a vegetable.

Lest you don't get, it let me be more specific.

It is commonly accepted that modern humans evolved in east Africa about 160 000 years ago and migrated and populated the rest of the world. As they spread out they evolved continually; and independently invented such basics as writing, the wheel and plough.

Those that stayed in sub Saharan Africa simply stagnated, preying on each other in order to survive.

White and Islamic scholars and scientists invented every benefit that humans enjoy today and I refuse to feel guilty for the part that my ancestors played in that process.

In the thousands of years of recorded history NOTHING of value was developed in sub Saharan Africa and all the BS political correctness in the world cannot change that fact.

If you cannot handle with that then you need to find a shrink who will help you deal with it.

My parents where always anti-apartheid, and if I was in any way discriminating my mother would have beaten the snot out of me. Now I have to apologize for being white? Judging by the respones I am getting, we have a serious, deeply rooted problem on our hands. Tim wise is not attempting to extract guilt from white people! If the truth makes you feel guilty, then something is seriously wrong.

(could an admin please setup a poll for this purpose) If you disagree with most of the content of Tim's speeches, please explain your reason for disagreeing in depth and please pinpoint all the flaws in his speeches. Not everyone has uncapped ADSL, we don't all have time and data to waste on videos, the first of which that you linked to has 4 minutes of data-wasting introductory waffle, followed by what sounds like even more waffle from the man himself.

If you want to discuss something, quote something specific [in text] and support it with links - preferably not waffle-videos.

Since you have appointed yourself as the promoter of Tim Wise, whoever he is or is not, you will need to be specific about the issues and sentiments that you allude to but refuse to explicitly mention.

I agree with 100% of Tim Wise's sentiments, therefore I don't need pinpoint any of these sentiments. I agree with all of them. I would like to know if others agree with 100% of Mr Wise's sentiments. As a young south african that couldnt afford to go to university I dont feel that i had to much white privilage, and the sooner people can get over this race and colour issue the better. I for one am sick and tired of it being shoved down my throat every day and to be quiet frank it feels like reverse of what happemed din the past.
