time for adsl installation

Does anyone know what he current waiting time is for ADSL installations around the Roodepoort (joburg) area?

My installation date has been already.
Phone 0800 DSL DSL and there is no installation date for when it will be done.

Oh, its a self installation.

Your installation can be done in less then one week from the moment that you send in your NEW application till activation etc.etc..... You just need to know one or two superstars in Telkom and you have it

I had problems myself till I met a commander and only then the things started to move with the speed of light.
This is for NEW service applications ONLY (which mean that if you have already ordered you are still on your own)

If it is not classified advertising, then PM me a contact name, a contact number and what kind of ADSL service is required and I will forward to superstar who will contact you.

Thank you for your email, I have sent you a reply, but for the benefit of forumites reading this thread, I will explain here as well - the forum is by default an anonymous online environment, while forumites can choose a username based on their real name, this usually does not happen - the reason being that most forumites prefer to maintain their anonymity and keep their personal information private and confidential.

While it is very gracious that you are offering to intervene in speeding up ADSL installation orders, I suggest that forumites should not need to pass their information onto yourself or anyone else as it does compromise their anonymity.

Why not publicly post the contact info that you have for individuals within Telkom such that all forumites might benefit?

It can not be done, because of a thing called human nature. This superstars number was mentioned once in another forum and they had to dismantle the number due to congestion (and the person was disciplined). Every one started to call the number (for New ADSLs, ADSL Faults, ADSL Activations etc.). Superstar asked me specifically not to publish the number. So sorry to all.
