Dont know about Tindr, but I am assuming Grindr and Growlr works on the same principal. I have met some people from on there, but I am not a massive fan of those apps. Still prefer normal websites like Manhunt. Profiles are more detailed and profiles has got more pics etc.
OP, it will happen that people have a look at your profile and you are not to their taste. We all have certain tastes in what we like for sexual partners.
