For those who didn't know this is a tip if you're downloading torrents and playing at the same time but u don't want any lag. On uTorrent set your upload speed to 1kbps, active downloads should be 1 also and lastly type 1 for upload/download torrents at the same time aswell. U should now get no lag at all I have a 4mb line and I get 400kbps on torrents while doing gaming on my PS4 with no lag... just a tip.

I would love to know what latency you're getting on your line whilst downloading...
Tested while playing BF4 on PS4 on a EU server 230ms, usually get around 190ms on that game, so yeah 40ms more but to be honest with u I have noticed no difference at all. It felt the same. Smooth gameplay on a 64 player conquest no lag at all. I'm on Telkom.
No I don't limit download speeds... like I said I play while the torrent download at 400kbps, even on IDM I can play while it downloads. I don't think download speeds are important for most games, latency is

True, I was often first in the SGS Counterstrike Source servers with me then 192kbps line, compared to guys on the 512kbps lines, just because I'm in Pretoria where the SGS servers were and had the lowest latency.

This may work on a shaped account where p2p is retricted anyway so you'll always have a decent game pipe.

I've noticed upload speeds are more important then download speeds for gaming. What I did was select 100mbps upload on uTorrent then I went into a fifa match it was laggy as hell, I then restricted the upload speed to 1kbps on uTorrent and magic! Game was smooth as hell lol. I play GTA 5, Fifa 15, Battlefield 4, Driveclub while downloading all run smooth. I hope it works for u guys aswell.
