Some people seem to have difficulty swallowing pills. Here's some pointers.

Pour a glass of water
Place pills in your mouth
Take a medium sip of water

For 1 or more tablets
Tilt the head slightly backwards (not all the way)
Swallow everything once as one big ball
Finish rest of water

For 1 or more capsules
Let your head hang forward
Your chin should rest on your chest
(the capsules will drift to the back of throat)
Swallow
Finish rest of the water

DONE

When you tilt your head back you close your throat a little. Just swallow normally like you would anything else.

Why I said slightly (it's literally just a small raise of the head backwards)..but if you're comfortable without the tilt...then good

As a child I refused / could not swallow pills.
As a teenager I discovered certain kinds of pills made me feel fantastic, I managed to swallow them just fine

But seriously, just put them in your mouth, dont panic, and drink water with a slightly exaggerated swallow motion.

Is this something people struggle with?

Yes, if it's more than one capsule, my throat closes up, I can't breathe and I think I'm going to die. I start to panic and I wonder if I can manage another sip of water to wash the pills down before I die and then I manage to drag a deep breath in. I'm thrilled to find I haven't died and I'm fine until I swallow the next dose. This could all be avoided if I could manage to take one pill at a time, but I like to get the nastiness over in one go.

Are you bored Eks? Or just have nothing better to do in life?

Why not just pretend you're swallowing a bite of food? Fake-chew a little if it helps you into fooling that you're enjoying a nice, juicy bite of steak (or herby fungus ball if you're so inclined). I'm sure people swallow larger pieces of food than they do medication?
