Tips to Boost your eBucks

I'm on PC with my main CC and then a secondary CC (linked to the same account) for my wife.

I get all the SMSs (as pointed out above identifying which card made the purchase). My single statement also has 2 separate card sections (listing the transactions per card) with a subtotal for each and then a grand total at the bottom.

Sorry guys, my memory was failing me. To correct myself, on Platinum, the monthly statement also lists the different credit card transactions separately under each card number.

It's logging into online banking with Platinum where there is no mechanism to differentiate what card paid for what transaction.
However, with PC the cards have their own separate accounts, as SYNERGY says:

It shows as a separate account on your internet banking profile. You're also allowed a card for your assistant.

Mmmm, but that is a normal swipe then. I used to do that via pick and pay, and that was seen as a normal credit card swipe (on platinum its 2% back.)

Explain how you are getting 15% please, lol.

Sigh just bought a voucher from Makro via eBucks site. Item I wish to purchase is ONLY sold via Makro's online store and SURPRISE Makro doesn't accept vouchers as a payment form on their online store...

What lunacy is this? How do I apply a voucher to an online purchase or how do I get the store to request the item so I can use a voucher?

Any idea's?

Re the voucher for online makro orders. Isn't one of the options to pay on pickup (collect in store). Can you do that and use the vouchers? That way you can order the online exclusive item and pay with vouchers. If that will work...

One of the guys posted about this before ... give them a call and they will make a plan for you to use the voucher in store when you pick up, even though it's an 'online exclusive'

Go to the store, find a sales assistant. Tell them what you want. They'll order it for you, you pay with your voucher. Easy. Bought my gas oven like this. Online exclusive...

You can request the store to order the item, pay for it in-store with your voucher and they will let you know when you can collect it.

Transaction history has no way of distinguishing which card was used

Heading up to that time of the month when eBucks allocations are done. Expecting a healthy eB 25,000 (possibly more) on PW RL5

Just to add some feedback on queries in this thread, when converting a virtual "sms" voucher to a gift card, you won't earn any eBucks. The systems at Makro are pretty jacked up and when they say no earn on Cigs, Groceries, Liquor etc, they mean it... I've checked.

Further, using the money market counter you would generally only earn your normal swipe rate, but depending on how the card terminal is hooked up, there may be a chance it is recorded as a checkers/shoprite purchase.

I queried this with the eBucks team in September. Response:

Please note you don’t earn eBucks at Makro and Dischem when you purchase a Gift card and also when you purchase with a Gift card.

Based on what's been said around here, one will still earn eBucks because of the separate eBucks card swipe?

I have never bought a gift card at makro, as mentioned above makro's system is jacked up with regards to what you earn on and what you do not earn on.
So I doubt you will get ebucks for swiping your ebucks card while purchasing a gift card.
I haven't tried it though so perhaps the person who received the ebucks can show us the breakdown of his earn?
