Tips to Boost your eBucks

Only been there a few times in the evening.. meh, i keep losing the ticket. In the meantime i'm starting to pad my KaChing account with the VitalityDrive (Discovery) rewards every few days. Just wish that they rolled out the system to more malls as presently its Rosebank and a few others.. so kinda limited.

Woop, I just started with VitalityDrive. Didn't know about that perk :D

I usually run a makro on my EBUCKS every month in case I lose my RL 5. Now I'm not sure which vouchers I used. Anyone know if they can give me the balance on the virtual number if I call the number they give?

No idea, but I usually just delete the message with that voucher number when I use it.

Been thinking of doing that.... as worthwhile as the ebucks program ?

If you are already insured by VitalityInsure then...sure ;)

However, their stupidly high annual increases meant that doing without saved me more than the value I got from VitalityDrive.

And to bring this convo back to eBucks: Double dipping is cool! Get eBucks back for buying fuel from BP AND cold hard electronic cash (Or excess cover) for swiping your VitalityDrive card.

This is what I'm excited about :p lol

Since you guys talking about parking... more and more shopping malls going to be going the permanent parking card route:

http://www.canalwalk.co.za/parking.htm
Points to remember :

1. First use of card - The card will only activate on your first entry into the centre on your next visit. You will be supplied with a free exit card for today's visit.
2. The maximum amount that can be loaded is R300.00 which can only be done once your stored value drops below R200.00.

How to purchase the card :

1. Proceed to any Customer Service Desk where a staff member will gladly assist you.
2. The card value is R200 and will require a credit card to process the transaction.
3. A pre-loaded card with R200 value will then be given to you along with a free exit ticket voucher. Please note that the card will only activate on your next entry.

How to use the card :

1. Entry
a. Insert card into ticket slot upon approaching the entry boom.
b. Read current value on electronic display screen.
c. Remove your card.
d. Boom will open allowing you to Shop the World.
2. Exit
a. On departing the centre, go straight to your vehicle and avoid the paystation at the centre exits.
b. Approach the exit booms and place your card into the ticket slot.
c. Note the deduction amount and balance left on the card on the electronic screen.
d. Remove your card.
e. The boom will open allowing you to drive to your next destination safely.
3. Cash top up
a. Go to any paystation found at each of the mall exits.
b. Insert the card into the ticket slot.
c. The electronic screen will then prompt you and display the current balance available on the card.
d. Push cancel and remove the card.
e. Re-insert the card whereupon the coin slot will now open and you will be prompted to pay. Note the value on the card will increase as per your payment.
f. Follow the onscreen prompts to load additional value by either placing cash into the machine or paying by credit card.
g. For a receipt, press the button as prompted.

Any word on whether you will have to use this? Personally i prefer to use my CC to pay for parking then i can track everything on my 1 account... i really dont want another card if i dont *have* to have it...

All of the malls i go to accept credit card. Hope it continues...

On a different note. I went to the German butcher Raiths in Constantia on the weekend, and was pleasantly surprised that they have Snapscan :-) Yay for double ebucks!

I wish they would all accept credit cards.

Went to Tygervalley this weekend in the car (normally on bike so don't pay parking) for the first time in years and was infuriated by the fact that the bloody machine doesn't take a card or the R100 note my wife had on her.

Not to mention that if it did take the R100 it wouldn't be able to give proper change anyway.

Well, in case anyone is interested in getting the balance on their virtual or card vouchers, I got a number to check voucher cards in general, and also the website www.whatsonmycard.com and 0861114093 and follow the voice prompts.

1.Can I buy checkers Gift Cards with my ebucks card @ a checkers and get the 40% discount?

2. Is the Gift cards the same as the vouchers? i.e have to use the full value otherwise it expires. (yes I already lost R400 last time)

Is that not a scam. I would not enter a voucher number on a website - it could be used fraudulently.

No.

It's got nothing to do with Checkers. It's offered by the eBucks.com Online Store and you need to purchase it from them.

You don't need to use a gift card in one go! Keep using it until it's finished.

I Tripple Dip/swipe

Bp & get your avios card (Combo with FNB CC (eBucks) and Vitality Dive card).

I don't use Discovery Miles and have the DiscoveryCard just because I use to have it and makes the cash back thing work nicely
