Just realised they are shafting me on points as well as earnings. I bought ****loads of airtime from them last month, and should have earned 15% back on it

Have a similar problem with online credit card purchases... I'm in communication with them with a resolution hopefully soon..

Fixed for you ^^

The points (16000) and earn level (4) shows under February, but the actual spend shown in each section (eg. fuel) is actually for January...

OT/ What mode of transport required such little fuel spend...

Had some cash, which I didn't want to deposit, and spend some of it on fuel. Though my normal monthly fuel spend is probably ~R800.

Edit. I live about 3km from work.

It is misrepresented , I checked on mine now. The points showing for Feb 2015 are actually the points earned during calendar month January but allocated on approximately 8 Feb.

I know this because I am usually 21000 points each month except for December 2014 where I dropped to 17000 points earned. However their stupid graphic shows 17000 points for January 2015. It's one month out, based on my experience.

How do you guys reconcile your CC spends against ebucks earned to make sure their calcs are correct?

Excel spreadsheet. Download your transaction history to csv and run some formulae in Excel. You will need to first categorise your transactions first. SUMIFS formulae

Sure.. but I couldn't find an itemised ebucks statement to reconcile it back to.. or is that where you say the formula comes in. So you actually do all the calcs manually from your csv file and compare the totals?

much harder to reconcile cc spend than cheque spend, which FNB are very much aware of.

I only realized now that i earn more ebucks using my credit card than my cheque account :(

Everything goes on the credit card now.

The whole scheme since the changes last year is geared towards you using the cc . surprised that you didn't notice

Is there a cap on fuel rewards? I hit 4500eb exactly for a 3rd month in a row. Am on gold.

From the eBucks Gold rules:
Your maximum qualifying fuel spend is capped at 20% of your qualifying Gold Card spend for the month, with the maximum amount you can earn on fuel capped at eB4 500 per month.

Platinum has a higher cap at around eB6100 or eB6200 or so.

There goes the flat 40% discount....

Oh well, I plan to save my eBucks for a few months anyway. Probably over a year in fact. After that, I'll start checking the store to see when good vouchers are on special.
