lol, We have only had one card for our account for a long time which I normally kept since I do the shopping in the house/pay the bills etc. Only recently did I get my own card and give him his card back! The reason why he doesn't really know about how ebucks works but he is learning quick.

You could have responded that you a Cougar. We like our cougars here on mybb. The idea of being a 'kept' man is quite appealing, so we can spend our time playing games, playing with cars/bikes and watching movies/series

Sorry I meant to reply to this yesterday, got sidetracked. I can't remember what made me think that, will have a look again a bit later when I have time.

Okay, I remember what made me think that.

Login to online banking and go to the eBucks page where it shows you your rewards for the past month. Mine adds up to 4655 eBucks.

On the left hand side is a series of rectangles that show you how many eBucks you earned from a particular category. In each rectangle, you can see the eBucks that you earned as well as the percentage earn rate. My earn rate for things like Checkers shows as 7.5%, which is L4. In January, I was L3. So, that is what makes me think that they calculate your new balance using your new eBucks level, which I suppose makes sense. It also means that if you drop down during a month, it affects your earn during the month in question and not the next month, which also makes sense.

^^ OK, but to clarify, when did you check the above? If you checked the percentages between 8 Jan and 7 Feb then that was displaying your status for December's calendar month. If you're checking it now it's referring to January as a calendar month.

You may be getting confused between what they show you and what actually applies, no offense :p

I don't remember what those percentages were earlier, to be honest. I know I was reward level 3 for November and December, and reward level 4 for January (but I only found that out recently).

Definitely possible I am confused - the way they display the information is very confusing! I mean, some information is for the past calendar month, some is for the last 32 days. The figures displayed there do not match what I was actually rewarded with.

So who knows what the truth is!

Agreed, it's confusing, ambiguous and I think not true.

Please note: Your reward rate is based on your current reward level, however your earn allocations reflected in the graph are what you have earned in the last 32 days. This means that your total reward may have two different reward rates.

Will try to keep an eye on what changes during the month.

Your earn rate is definitely determined by your activity in the month you are doing the spending.

Is the discount structure ending on the 17th feb?

the discounts will no longer apply to all items in the store. I think it will revert to what it was before. Only a selected items would have the discounts.

Also read further up that the items might change monthly.

Correct, however the confusing thing is that this is only confirmed around the 8th of the following month. I suppose it can only be confirmed after the calendar month in question because in order to get the points for any particular rule one has to not break that rule for the entire month.

one thing to keep in mind - some vouchers(well especially the makro and ster kinekor i have bought) is valid for over a year. Thus you can save up ebucks, and buy that specific voucher once it happens..

Makro physical vouchers "Gift cards are valid for a period of 3 years from date of issue"

Makro e-vouchers "Valid for 3 years from date of Virtual Voucher issue. Should the Virtual Voucher be deleted or the Customer cellphone lost/stolen with the Virtual Voucher, neither Makro nor its agents will be liable for any reimbursement of any nature. SMS can be resent, but only to the original number."

I haven't decided yet. Yet if it was next month I could have had enough eBucks to buy the gadget

If you're will to pay someone for their eBucks at RL5 value, then why not just buy the item in question via normal means, good old fashioned Rands? Surely it's not exclusively available via the eBucks store?
