Tips to Boost your eBucks

I went up to Level 4 last month, which surprised me. What I found interesting is that my reward level as at the end of January/beginning of February was used to calculate my January eBucks rewards. This means that, if you do something in the last few days of February which affects your reward level, it will also affect your eBucks earned in that month. I thought that would use your "current" reward level to calculate rewards.

FFS- dropped down to RL4 for this cycle thanks to the husband drawing cash from an atm. Only got 2000 points instead of 4k. I may have to ban him from using his card for anything- he just asked me to draw money for him for fuel, I mean WTF!!! lol.

What an arse, FUEL - sacrileges!! In this Ebucks fraternity that infraction is grounds for divorce...:D

haha, lol..had to tell him this is strike 1, strike 3 and you're out! :p He knows how much trouble I go through for ebucks every month, even our housemate transfers money to my account for fuel so I can earn the ebucks. In his defense, he has only just recently got his own card so much watch him like a hawk for awhile. He got the "talk" last night about Atms- stay away- atms are not our friend- danger danger danger :D

Their systems are not setup properly. In December I got the 500 points for registering for inContact. Didn't get those points now. Really not keen to check my points every month.

I've been getting these points all along but this month I didn't receive them too, and it dropped me to 17,500 points (RL 4)

I've requested they investigate but not looking forward to managing them into doing their jobs . . .

Ok, so I did my own test and paid R50 of my Telkom bill on the website using my Cheque card... first off, it works cos it's a VISA card... super!
And I guess I'll wait and see next month if it counts for the 2500 RL points or not

Hi... Can you confirm if you were awarded the online payment RL points ?

Good on you, hope next month your RL is restored at L5...

Worked for me :)
Yes ... it did! It was th only online spend that i attempted. From their email to me:
* Total Cheque card Online Shopping spend - R50

According to the Ebucks helpline, they aren't going back to the old system of discounts on a small number of fixed vouchers, instead the discounts would be rotated between the different stores monthly

Odd. Better and worse than the old system at the same time. Good, because you will not be limited to a select few shops. Bad because you have to wait and hope next month will be the lucky month you can spend it on the vouchers for the shop you want.

^^ +1. Odd and pros and cons...

How do you know this, did you do the math and it was the only way that the figures lined up to what you expected?

As you say that is surprising and complicated!! :erm:

I sent them an email to ask which products in the eBucks Shop will still qualify for discount after 17 February 2015.

They answered the following: "Please note that all products including all vouchers qualify to get 40% discount until the 17th February."

I responded with my original query and I will provide an update as soon as I get a response.

"Kindly note that at the moment we are unable to specify the items which will continue with the discounts but we will be able to advise you after the promotions has ended."

So we won't know which products in the eBucks Shop will qualify for the discount in future until the current promotion has ended.

If i get a second card (for my credit card account) for my SO is it linked automatically to earn ebucks as well or do i need to do something extra?

Give than changes to the eBucks store coming 17 Feb, would there still be a good reason to keep eBucks in its current form or does the investment option look more lucrative now.

The option where you invest your eBucks quarterly in a 12 month flexi account.

This all depends on how you plan on spending your eBucks (if you decide to spend them). Surely some partners will remain (?) where it's worthwhile using them for the 40% off, which is a 66% increase in the value of your eBucks.

Sorry I meant to reply to this yesterday, got sidetracked. I can't remember what made me think that, will have a look again a bit later when I have time.

lol, We have only had one card for our account for a long time which I normally kept since I do the shopping in the house/pay the bills etc. Only recently did I get my own card and give him his card back! The reason why he doesn't really know about how ebucks works but he is learning quick.
