My previous questions still stands unanswered... Can I use my cheque card to pay for my Telkom bill (...or City of Joburg bill)?
And will this count as online shopping?
Ok, so I did my own test and paid R50 of my Telkom bill on the website using my Cheque card... first off, it works cos it's a VISA card... super!
And I guess I'll wait and see next month if it counts for the 2500 RL points or not

Can you give the link for telkom payment?

Can you give the link for telkom payment?
- You need to have registered for MyServices ... http://www.telkom.co.za/myservices/
- Login, then look for this section...
telkom.png
- Click "Pay Bill with Credit Card" :p
- it'll take you to a list of Telkom bills you can pay
- Tick the appropriate box
- Click "Pay Selected Invoice(s)" and then follow the instructions to enter your card details.

En Voila!

I am on gold and still use premier suite, no issues. They told me gold can use it.
I've actually never used the Premier Suite. Is there supposed to be one at each branch or only the bigger branches?

The other option is http://www.easypay.co.za/ or https://new.easypay.co.za/

I go that route because the Telkom site doesn't/didn't let me pay in advance, which I do because their debit order doesn't seem to recognise that the bill was paid already. So if I owe R100 and I pay that via Telkom online, then they will still debit me R100 on the debit order date.

But won't you just get the deduction in your next bill? :)
If your bill is fairly consistent you could just effectively be paying one month in advance... right?

Yes, but with Telkom's retarded shenanigans, I'd only be able to pay (double) every 2 months. THe point being that I don't want to pay by debit order. I'd rather pay by credit card for the eBucks reward points. Been doing this for a 2-3 years now.

I get you... And that's 4% back on RL5 right? Easy eBucks and no loss of convenience. Nice!

Back then it was 1 or 2%. I have never been motivated by that. The 15% back by being on RL5 is what motivated me. Channelling as many purchases as possible through my credit card was a requirement to getting to RL5.

There seems to be a problem with the My Rewards tab this morning. :(

Ya i think it is down this morning, hopefully doing upgrades to fix all the issues and will make the system run smoother.

Thinking about getting a gold credit card to increase my earn. Do you guys know if they still give you the R50 off on your Smart Device?

Ahh, wish I had seen this sooner- so pizzed off. We were on RL4 earning about R500 pm..this month, down to RL1 and earned R45. Ouch.

Can someone relink the different combinations. Is there any options to be on fee saver and still get a credit card?

Join the club. Average earn before the changes was eB20 000. This month I'm on level 1 and only received eB1500. I put in a request on 19/09/2014 to have my Private clients credit card downgraded to platinum in order to have both cards on the same colour. This was not done and FNB has no reason why it was not processed.

I have requested that my downgrade be backdated to the original date and that my ebucks level and points be recalculated based on both credit and cheque accounts being on the same level.

I'm no letting them get away with this.

Yep, going to either downgrade cheque to gold or upgrade the credit card to platinum, must just see which is the better option.
