In terms of fuel purchase - do you get your cash back regardless of what you use to swipe?
I.E. if I'm on level 5, I should get my 15% back in eBucks regardless of whether I used a cheque, credit or petro card to pay?

But I like eating at The Grillhouse :(

Nah - just a comment on how useful they are to those that complain about them

+1

I work f.hard for what i have and do with my moolah. And I expect the same level of service from my banker. And I am prepared to pay for that servive (within reason of course).

My banker came back to me a little while ago and answered all my questions i had on ebucks as well as telling me - that the changes that I am making will put me on 18000points (RL4) next month. For the last 1000points - i have to get a smart device... so lets see what happens next year. I'm ok with RL4 for now.

Emailed Ebucks and asked them why online purchases (Kalahari) weren't reflecting against my rewards level, their response:

Please note that we have just been advised by FNB that they are aware about all the reward level points that were not added and has
affected clients reward level. They are working on having the matter resolved as this was due a system glitch.

Apologies if this has been mentioned before.

This seems to be a frequent failing on FNB's part, not testing properly before roll outs of major system revamps. Kudos for innovation and trying to be a step ahead of other banks but boo to glitches being the norm when they roll out new stuff.

Yes, I escalated a query I had about this scenario to my Premier banker after getting the run-around from the eBucks consultants - she said they've been made aware of the glitch and that it will take a manual intervention (hence a lot of backlog) to resolve and allocate as it should have been. They hope to have it sorted by the 8th December.

agreed, don't forget the piss_poor comms when the ****e is not correct (have the same issue with Discovery, looks like a group thing)

queried my ebucks rewards with premier banking and they said that the ebucks team told them there are system issues. My main issue is that they did not inform us that there are issues and they have no time frame on the fix

"group" thing?

Discovery is not part of the Firstrand group...

So after the incorrect calculations on my ebucks, it seems to be mostly resolved.

They manually upgraded me to level 5 which I should be at and got a nice surprise yesterday morning when I see 3000+ ebucks in my account that's says goodwill.

Because of the calculation errors I told them that I lost 300 bucks, they said it will be added on next month but seems they are just trusting me and gave me the points.

Just hope these system errors don't pop up next month.

Spent all on vouchers for makro yesterday before they change their mind

I must say this has impressed me.

Whom did you speak to?
Mine still the same?

Checked my qualifying criteria and did not get this (new rules). Strange since I have not being in a branch in over a year. Put in a query will see what happens

> Do all your payments and transfers during the month via our electronic channels instead of an FNB Branch

They also never gave me these points. When I took it up with them they said its because I took a smartdevice and they categorize the delivery fee for the smart device as a branch transaction (!!!) Needless to say I cried foul and wrote them a heavily worded email.
They replied and said that they will reverse this and give my 1000 points for not visiting a branch back from the 8th of December onwards.

This issue will be resolved for all clients that were affected on their reward level.

Got this as a response, problem still not fixed.

I have not got a response from FNB with regards to my complaint over a month from now

I went through rbjacobs on Facebook, I sent many emails believe me. They also told me to wait till 8th December. I wrote an email back saying that is unacceptable.
Congrats

Another reason you want a petrol card is that they never clone petrol cards. I've had 3 incidents in the last two years where my credit card was cloned, and I traced it to a petrol attendant. After switching to a petrol card the cloning stopped.

Rubbish, most cloned cards are garage cards. It's one of the few places where they have to take the card away. Mine was cloned and so were a few other people's at our garage down the road
