Tips to Boost your eBucks

It is not that much of an administrative hassle. You apply for the temporary loan online within one minute and it repays itself the next time a deposit is made into your account. The "cost" of R39 would be less than the opportunity cost of having at least R10000 and/or R17000 in an investment and global account respectively.
It might not be the best way to earn points, but if you need 2000 points to get to the next rewards level it will definitely be worth it.

i had the same feeling. dont believe in FNB's investment returns, thus taking out a small loan for equivalent points, and investing the difference in satrix for example is much more lucrative i think

This is what mine shows but it includes about eB27 000 paid into my account at the beginning of Jan.
Currently I'm set to get back eB20 000 but they still need to take into account the last week and a half for Jan.
eish, you got 13638 for fuel+gautrain which is 1363 rands of ebucks. My fuel doesn't cost me more than 1300 rands per month. LOL.

That was for two months though. I spend about R4 500 per month on fuel for two cars. The wife and I have consolidated all out transactions to only my cards. At the end of the month she will transfer a lump sum to my account and then we use my credit card for all our spending. We get more eBucks this way instead of having her swipe her card and me using mine.

This is my December spend.

None of my fuel spends are showing up as such... Just normal CC swipes. And I've used multiple garages. Can they ALL be getting it wrong?

think i read earlier in this thread that CC swipes could be suspect. i rather switched over to a petrol card, but , paying R4.50 per swipe... sigh.
need to get the ebucks team to sort it out i think

Many garages will have two card machines, one for the forecourt and another for the shop. Make sure they use the forecourt machine. This one will usually print the litres filled and fuel type.

I have never had an issue using my credit card to fill up.

Also remeber that if you use a petrol card linked to a credit card, the transaction will attract interest immediately.

How did you get "Fuel & Gautrain"? I use the Gautrain daily and I've never received any ebucks for that...

Mine is only for fuel. Not in JHB so never used the Gautrain.

I think they just lump them together. Are you using your card to pay for your tickets?

Yeah the one dude went to the kiosk to get the machine and I had an argument with him. If course he had a degree in ebucks so I couldn't teach him anything about the fuel back % being higher. So I wasn't counting on THOSE points.. but the rest of the ones were definitely taken using the handheld machines at the pump.

I'll have to go scrounge for my slips to check.. only have my last one with me which DOES list the amount of petrol etc. but that transaction is not showing on the web yet.

I take photos of each and every fuel slip as I get them, and then stash in my sun blind. When it gets too full then I take it into the house but thereafter they get lost :o

Is this on private wealth or private clients?

In regards to: "Use your FNB Platinum Credit Card to pay for your online shopping. (1500)"

Has anyone successfully paid their Tshwane bill online using this method? I keep getting an error "your card type not currently supported"

I also tried to pay my Tshwane bill online, but I only see the following options:

- Once Off Payment Instruction (once off debit order)
- Standard Bank Internet Banking Clients
- Nedbank Internet Banking Clients
- Mobile Payment (don't really know how this works)

With the "Once off payment" on the e-Tshwane portal you can only use your Cheque card as they require you do to a enter a bank account number (no room for a CC card number)

I presume that the "mobile payment" has some sort of mobile verification system, and allows you to pay via CC - cant get that to work :/

Do all your payments and transfers during the month via our electronic channels instead of an FNB Branch (1500)

Have banked with FNB for 18 months or more (1000)
Have an Auto Payment (debit order) set up on your FNB Platinum Credit Card. (500)
Choose to receive all your Account statements via email only (500)
Have an active Tablet/Smartphone contract (1500)
Have an investment account which meets the average monthly balance of R10 000 or more (2500)
Register for inContact , allow us to communicate with you and keep your contact information up to date (500)
Use between 10% and 90% of your credit limit during the calendar month. (3000)
Use your FNB Platinum Credit Card to pay for your online shopping. (1500)
Does the value of your FNB Platinum Card swipes and Cash@Till withdrawals exceed the value of your ATM and FNB Branch Withdrawals? (1500)
Have not exceeded your limit or gone into arrears on your Credit Card for six months and more (1500)

Total: 18500

Do any of you guys maybe have a senior contact at Ebucks that can maybe assist me with an issue Ive been struggling with for more than a month?

I litrally adhere to every single criteria quoted above, PLUS I maintain the minimum required balance in my savings pocket. Take a guess what level Im on? Level 1 :wtf:

Ive logged several calls (still have reference numbers), and after several attempts to resolve this issue no one gets back to me. Ive also escalated the issue to some department that listens to the recordings (I complained that they never phone me back) and even they dont phone me back

So pissed off that no one seems to want to help me? Advice, suggestions?
