Im sure they will sort it for you, after my initial mail sending my slip etc, i got a auto response and then a real person from [email protected] mailed me to say they would sort it asap and they did. Thats an email addy i will be saving for future haha. Im very happy i didnt have to throw a tantrum and i will not in future be paying for my petrol inside the shop, i dont care what the attendants/manager tell me.

Back on RL5 and looks like they sorted my petrol drama too already but i did get a mail back from "super service ebucks" telling me that would try sort it asap and seems like they did. Happy girl this month!!!

How important is it to still have the slips? I too got shortchanged by swiping inside but threw them slips away

Sorry Jack, but i think you will need those slips, more importantly the fuel slip. They will see on your statement you made a purchase at the garage but doesnt indicate its for fuel if you swiped inside.

what other options /methods is there to get them to fix incorrect Ebucks allocations?
i checked by statements for the last two months, where fuel and airtime purchases is ok, but online shopping, swiping and checkers is not. The above contacts seems to be only for petrol allocations? or will they assist with other transactions as well?

trying to go trough my private banker, but it is taking forever. :(

^^ I've never double checked anything other than fuel, but I guess my assumption the other stuff would be right could be wrong :(

Ag ***.

if I change bank details now am I going to have to stand in some SARS queue?

I am sure you can update those details online on the e-filing website. If not, I would still rather sit through their phone queue, than go stand in a queue at a SARS building.

That is the idea yes. I know my usual monthly spend on my card, so the limit is 1.5x to 2x that. So imagine you spend 5000 each month, set the limit at 7500 or 10000. That way you leave room to spend less or more every month, and still easily stay within the 10-90% parameter. If you make it too close to your monthly spend, then you risk the chance of making a mistake and spend outside those parameters. Besides, you can change it online with online banking. If you increase they will do some checks before approving it, if you decrease it, it usually happens faster.

Some good points there in your post :) !

On this one though I would opt for a limit of 2.5 to 3x monthly spend. Remember the 'use between 10% and 90%' rule is based on running balance, not spend for the month in question. So one's running balance as one is nearing the next ccard payment date could easily be close to double one's monthly spend. And then you want a bit of a buffer too, just in case!

Those seem fine to me as well. Basically you should not have a R90 000 limit, when you spend around R10 000 a month on the card. You will just barely make that 10% each month, and worse if you want to save the month, you will definitely miss it. On the other side, you also dont want it to cap your spending, because that then makes life difficult when you have unforeseen expenses, like you say.

I think you need to take in proof. WHat I did was keep both bank accounts open, and transfer money to my Nedbank account to pay sars. I also kept the nedbank account open so that its easier to get more info should SARS come back to me with an audit.
Perhaps im paranoid... but im playing careful. Not long to go now before i DO close my nedbank account now that I've submitted last years provisional.

But I did find a loophole on the website to add my fnb account to make my last payment to SARS. And to be honest I'm not sure how i found it... but it worked. (Maybe its not a loophole - but it wasn't easy to find)

Since I read this thread my ebucks rewards went from R50 to about R900 per month. I never bothered to earn anything for many years.

Things I had to change:
I had to open a cheque account
Do the 1 monthly cashback additional.
I also shop a lot more at Checkers.

Seems like I now pay about R80-R100 in fees a month.

You really needed to take proof? I never did, just updated the details on efiling. Heck every single time you do efiling, they ask you to confirm your bank details, so I am not sure how it can be that hard...

So you need to keep it in the negative then as I initially understood?

You can't just swipe or buy online and then pay the money over immediately?

I'm not sure, but why not just keep it in the negative and settle in full upon payment date? No interest charged. No big deal.

You HAVE to do a cash back request at the tills for at least one transaction and not have drawn from an Atm.
In Jan the husband drew R150 from an ATM,cost us almost R400 worth of ebucks because we droped a level.
In Feb no cash withdrawls, 2 x cash backs and we back on top lol.

Anyone know if there's any hectic hoops to jump through for the online will thingy. Would like to do it for the monthly 1000 points. Is it quick? Will it count for this month's RL calcs?
