Tips to Boost your eBucks

Eish.. who knew.

There are 2 different ways to get the devices... and they differ FUNDAMENTALLY.

1. Pickup at dot FNB stores. They do their own credit checks and work on giving you a 5k overdraft.
2. Order online/via premier desk. They do fnb credit checks with no need for overdraft. They only deliver via courier at R150 a pop... no chance for pickup.

and now ebucks are saying as long as the order is concluded before the data is sent to them (on the 8th) you will get the points.

:loopy:

I was told that getting the device at a dotFNB store is considered a branch transaction. So you may lose points here whilst getting points for having a smart device..

Lol.. that would just suck. Guess I'm lucky that dotFNB denied me the device then. Unless they count my attempted device takeout as a transaction.

Getting a credit card for building up my credit record (and earn a bit more ebucks) worth it with the extra charges?
Apologies, I know this question has already being asked but I could not find it in my search.
I generally don't spend too much a month, but trying to get my credit record up for the future...
Any tips would be greatly appreciated :)

^^ Read through the thread son :p Maybe work your way backwards though.

Credit card, worth it yeah if you wanna make the most of eBucks as a rewards programme.

what other options /methods is there to get them to fix incorrect Ebucks allocations?
i checked by statements for the last two months, where fuel and airtime purchases is ok, but online shopping, swiping and checkers is not. The above contacts seems to be only for petrol allocations? or will they assist with other transactions as well?

trying to go trough my private banker, but it is taking forever. :(

Does anybody have a more direct contact with regards to ebucks disputes?

Private banker forwarded it to ebucks, and promised a follow up in 7 to 14 working days  - by that time i will need to submit a third incorrect month :(

Took my private banker 2 months and still it wasn't right. I had to send a detailed spreadsheet detailing their mistakes and another months waiting before it was finally fixed.

What I learnt today about eBucks (which I probably should have known already): You do not earn any eBucks at Makro if you purchase groceries:wtf:

Did you give the cashier your eBucks card to swipe?

Took delivery of my smart device. Is it supposed to come with the cell C sim or do I need to phone somewhere to order it separately?

You bought the groceries a while ago?

In any event, those are not the eBucks you should be concerned with. It's the eBucks awarded on fuel, checkers and electricity that should concern you :)

Still trying to pluck up the courage to go to the municipal offices to find out what's involved in switching to prepaid so I can get the 15% on electricity.

Probably about 2 to 3k for the meter and installation. Other than that I'm not sure.

Week later and still no FNB account.

They seem incapable of resetting my online application so I can start over and I won't submit the current one because there is no summary of the options selected.

So they call me to complete it telephonically and I told them firstly I'm not in an environment where I can discuss this, but more so why on earth would I use the website to complete it if I wanted to speak to someone.

Saturday I went in to the branch and then walked out about 20 minutes later when I realized it would take a few hours to get to the front.

So I'll try again Monday or Tuesday when I'm on leave and hopefully the branch is empty.

@SauRoNZA , if you qualify for Platinum or Private Client or Wealth then perhaps the Premier suites can take in your application?? Not sure, so perhaps give them a call. The Premier guys directly I mean.

Still doesn't solve the problem that I DO NOT want to call someone.

Yes I know I'm being difficult...but if you offer a web application process then it should work properly.

If you qualify for Platinum or Private Client or Wealth then let one of us in your city know and we can refer you to an email address of our premier bankers...

Mmm, didn't think of having prepaid installed ... and the meter is in the property so they want access once a month to read it which I dislike. Even though I like the convenience of not having to remember to buy and enter the code, for 15% of R1,000 I'll do it!

/fires off email to muni

Edit: asking for costs and tariffs to compare.
