Tips to Boost your eBucks

I'm thinking it maybe worthwhile changing ebucks for vouchers while on level 5 and guaranteeing 40% discount. (good if you are unsure of your level after the changes kick in.)

Does anyone know how long the Makro vouchers are valid for?

3 years

They are valid for 3 years, it states that on sms sent when buying an e-voucher

Great stuff, thanks. I usually save up the ebucks for Christmas time so I might just change now while I'm sure of level 5 :)

Was just emailed new rules. Losing a lot, especially re. prepaid electricity falling away. Was earning eB1000 with that per month minimum.

What is falling away?
As part of the changes, you will no longer earn eBucks on prepaid electricity or get a discount on your monthly Uncapped ADSL Data subscription.

What else will be different?
From 1 July 2015, if you have an FNB Gold Cheque Card and an FNB Gold Credit Card, you will no longer pay an annual fee to link your FNB Gold Credit Card to earn eBucks, which means your FNB Gold Credit Card will be automatically linked and you will earn eBucks for FREE! If, however, you only have an FNB Gold Credit Card and would like to link it to earn eBucks, you will be charged a monthly fee of R16.50.

Some of the reward rates for fuel and prepaid airtime purchases on reward levels 1 and 2 will also be undergoing a little revamp.

New ways to collect points to move up a reward level
There will also be new ways to collect points, making it easier for you to increase your reward level and earn more eBucks.

The table below lists just some of the new ways to collect reward level points.

What to do Reward level points per month
Have at least three monthly debit orders going off your FNB Gold Cheque Account 1 000
Use the FNB Banking App at least four times during the month 1 000
Have an active FNB Smart Device contract 1 000
Have an FNB Smart Bond that is active and in good standing 2 000
Set up an Auto Payment on your FNB Gold Credit Card 1 000
Have an FNB Vehicle Finance or WesBank Account and meet a set of requirements 500

There will be some changes to the way you currently collect reward level points. For example, you will no longer need to use Cash@TillTM and have ATM withdrawals that amount to R1 000 or less to collect points; all you will need to do is ensure that your Cash@TillTM withdrawals exceed your ATM withdrawals. Also, the reward level points you collect will no longer be based on your average spend over the last year, but rather on your average spend over the last month.

Did they also email you the Platinum Rules? If so please post on here too. Thanks

Damn, the free uncapped account is quite handy. Would hate to lose it, even if it is shaped to bits :P

How does one upgrade from Plat to PC ?

Do I need to "schedule" it for the beginning of the month or wont it have any affect on my earnings/rates etc. ?

EDIT: Or even an upgrade to PW for that matter.

Turns out it's as simple as sending an email and saying yes when they call you. Sent a mail this morning and this afternoon received the welcome email/SMS.

Apparently getting the new CC to you takes a while and you can't do online purchases from the time of upgrading until you receive your new card. Hence me doing it now so it's all sorted for next month.
