Really dude? You're obviously not in IT...they need to FIND the issue first and then fix it.

Not everything is fixable immediately. **** happens...get over it. You're not loosing money.

I don't have a problem to wait for my eBucks, but shouldn't they have tested their system extensively based on the new rules long before they needed to allocate the actual eBucks? Every year it's the same story when the rules are changes.

I think some people might lose money, if their eB are paid out to a flexi fixed deposit (quarterly).

I hope we get eB before spring day

My guess is that there are multiple contributing factors, such as:

Difficulty replicating production environment in UAT. Due to things like not being allowed to use production data in UAT, and some production processes (batch jobs etc) not running in UAT.
One batch job being delayed, such as due to the public holiday, means all others must be delayed as well.

I received my Takealot allocation a few days ago which I find a bit strange...
Has anyone else received theirs too?

Personally I think it has nothing to do with the public holiday.

I got some ebucks previous months on the 7th. And the 7th was last Friday.

I think it is related to the new rules for the year that changed in July.

Yes, those are the direct ebucks allocated when you buy stuff.

I got ebucks for buying goods at Makro (and that showed 48 hours after the shopping spree)

**** happens especially if you lack proper deployment enviroments and procedures; but everyone is a cowboy right.
 
I am on Gold and have received my eBucks on the 9th already? Al the RL points are correct except the "Only receive statements via email" But the is only 500 RL points. I am still on RL5 so I am happy!

I dont think so. I think it is more delivery on promises. If I sell you a product with a "free" addon service, and you decide to take the product to utilise said "free" service then you are well within your rights to complain if the service was not rendered.

For instance. I insured my bakkie with Discovery insure and got:
1. R50 tracker
2. Fuel cashbacks
3. "free" rental car during repair period , etc

Wife had an accident and their system for rental car approvals DID NOT WORK ON WEEKENDS! I suppose it was my entitlement attitude that caused me to get upset about this? Because this was at that stage a "free" service?

It is because people are too scared to complain that most **** services remain at same level. And it will remain such until people start opening their mouths (Not only on forums, but to the service provider as well, else you still a wus).

I am a programmer and know how easily the fan can be struck, but the important thing is: communication. FNB never communicates issues to clients and you have to find out when you standing in line at tills (As an example).

This is a real problem for developers! I also got caught out by the fact that our UAT environment was not in synch with PROD, which caused my perfectly working solution to fail in a specific PROD scenario. Luckily I got it fixed quicker than FNB though...
