I dont think so. I think it is more delivery on promises. If I sell you a product with a "free" addon service, and you decide to take the product to utilise said "free" service then you are well within your rights to complain if the service was not rendered.

For instance. I insured my bakkie with Discovery insure and got:
1. R50 tracker
2. Fuel cashbacks
3. "free" rental car during repair period , etc

Wife had an accident and their system for rental car approvals DID NOT WORK ON WEEKENDS! I suppose it was my entitlement attitude that caused me to get upset about this? Because this was at that stage a "free" service?

It is because people are too scared to complain that most **** services remain at same level. And it will remain such until people start opening their mouths (Not only on forums, but to the service provider as well, else you still a wus).

I am a programmer and know how easily the fan can be struck, but the important thing is: communication. FNB never communicates issues to clients and you have to find out when you standing in line at tills (As an example).

....ok.../rantOff

In other news: No EB yet
You'll get your freaking ebucks, just relax. Geez you'd swear that people's lives depended on this...

You realy are getting upset with people complaining...Are you perhaps an FNB employee in charge of EB?

Anyhoo, I was not complaining about it. I was complaining about people being told that they probably have an entitlement attitude if they complain about services rendered. People like you that try to down play their complaints are helping service providers provide shize service.

----

Oh, and by the way: No EB yet

Eh I get the impression that most people here are relaxed. It's you who seem to be irritated by all of this. Maybe go post about it here to feel better: http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php/142503-Things-that-irritate-you/page158

This is a thread about eBucks and people are keeping each other updated which is great.

Like a breath of fresh air!

I agree. I think most posters are quite chilled about it, and could understand that there was problems, if FNB would communicate it better.

They have delayed because all of their clients have cottoned onto the new rules and are earning too many Makro vouchers.

They are looking to implement new new rule changes for next month.

source please?

This is bad, but not as bad as other banks. Example think standard bank or asba went totally offline a few weeks back. (Now that is another story for another day).

The ship will come in ... it just has a few motherly big waves to get through

This is the internet. We make **** up as we go along. This 'source' business is overrated when you can create miscellaneous rumours for free

lol

careful of slandering an organisation though... they have eyes here.

No Mike it's just this bloody whining culture we have. People complain about the most ridiculous things.

Wel, I am now complaining and whining about your complaining and whining about other people complaining and whining...Does that earn me double points? I will even throw in a moan if it will earn me extra reward points!

:twisted::whistle:

They aren't going to implement rule changes twice in two months.

Obviously they are fine with the Makro vouchers, otherwise Makro vouchers would not be on special anymore.

I think these rule changes were to further adjust the percentage of people that get back more than they pay in. FNB is only willing to give you lots of free stuff if you give them a lot of business.

If you think about it, considering all of the business I give them every month, R500 is actually not much.

I mean, they earn the following from me:
Interest and fees on home loan
Interest and fees on vehicle finance
Fees from using my credit card (ie when you swipe, the vendor pays something like 5% of the transaction fee to FNB).
Monthly account fees

Plus, by using online banking and the app, I cost FNB significantly less money than other clients who go into the branch. Giving me back R500 for all of that is really not much.

+1 eBucks does make business sense.

@Ancalagon: I think you should take imranpanji's post with a grain of salt and much tongues in cheeks.

lol

Yip. And I would start looking for those eyes at all the posts about people complaining about people complaining about delays...

I think as with hellopeter, FNB handle complaints quite quick and fast.

Wonder how many guys hellopetered about the eB ...

Not too many. I see 1 under the First National Bank name (The others are not related to the delay).

Which just goes to show, almost everyone, except those 2 complaining about complaining are chilled about it...
