Trying to help sort out a mess up for someone i know. Her credit card is a gold credit card but online banking and statement say 'classic credit card'. . Does this sound normal or is something amiss?
eBucks website also said she didn't qualify for eBucks in July as less than R500 spent which is definitely incorrect.
edit: So get this, her physical card was a gold card but the credit account was indeed a classic account. What BS is this? They are busy fixing it but freaking hell, why dupe the customer like that?
Hypothetical Question:
I have a R500 Makro voucher, and I buy 1 item to the value of R600 (R500 using the voucher, and R100 using FNB CC).
Now, I want to take this item back to a refund.
Q: Will I get a R500 voucher refund, and R100 onto my CC? OR Will I just get R600 refund on to my CC?
Probably the 1st, A R500 voucher + R100 on to your CC.
The reason I say this, when I bought a TV (except I use your values) using the above, they gave me 3 slips.
1x slip to show I bought the TV from Makro to the value of R600
1x slip to show I paid R500 using voucher
1x slip to show I paid R100 using CC
Standard practice at WW for example to refund you in the manner in which you paid.Cool, thanks for the feedback.
Any one else have similar experiences?
My eB allocation vs my own manual calcs are out to the tune of eB1700 so I guess I've got a fight on my hands. Anyone done this before? What did you have to do / submit to get it sorted out?
Well I just got politely told to **** off and that my Wesbank vehicle finance is with a Division of Wesbank and not Wesbank themselves, which really is an utter sham as terms and conditions go.
And the sham aside I feel you should still get points for logging into Wesbank...because that is an action that was completed after all, regardless of the above.
They added that clause a week ago or so. Kind of ****, I moved to FNB based on the rules I saw a month ago.
How do you control this anyway? The two times I've walked in to buy a new car on finance I didn't feel like I had any say in how financing would work. I would get told that Wesbank is the cheapest of the lot they got quotes from, but never really saw much and certainly did not get told that this would be some division of Wesbank where they merely slap their logo on to everything without doing any extra work.
I could also never log in to Wesbank, no matter how many times support tried to reset my password or resend an OTP.
So next time I go in to buy a car, I will insist on getting finance from Wesbank straight even if that means I need to do it myself rather than let them do all the paperwork. I get the feeling that this is the only way to get financing directly from Wesbank.

That's the part that pisses me off.
If you can log into the Wesbank page and you see it on your internet banking then it should be Wesbank enough to qualify.
Where can we publicly moan about this?
I see they've dropped the 10-90% Credit Card limit rule. Does that mean essentially I could load it up with money and use it like a debit card?
Why oh why would you want to do this?I see they've dropped the 10-90% Credit Card limit rule. Does that mean essentially I could load it up with money and use it like a debit card?
