Tips to Boost your eBucks

In my opinion a Petro Card is useless. You pay for the card, then you pay for every transaction and you pay interest... On Credit Card you pay nothing extra. I have AA Roadside Assistance for R5 a month on Gold Cheque Account. R5 is alot less than a linked Petro Card.

How do I activate that?
I have a gold cheque account, but do not see any options to get the AA Roadside assistance.
I just wanted to get the card to get the Roadside assistance, and would still use my CC for all fuel swipes

I phoned the platinum call center back in the day and asked to activate it for me.

Chris, to be honest, you wont lose a lot! I bought a few months back something also in the same price range, I got peanuts back (that the 0.75% that makro rewards). Don't lose sleep over this
Well eB750 he would have gotten back on the 10k swipe but other than returning the goods and reswiping, i agree, a fruitless exercise in stressing over it.

Wow. I had no idea that my simple thread like this would garner so many views.

I certainly have learnt a thing or two.

All the best in 2016, dear MyBBers!

A new thread with each rule change sounds good.
Less confusion for newbies methinks.

That's exactly what I wanted to post just now. If someone can write up 1 document detailing the tips/what you need to do to maximise

guess so - but the last few months the ebucks calculator on ebucks.com is the most up to date information you need. dont think you can get it easier than that :)

the big value for me is how the Reward Level points criteria have been decoded from FNB 'speak'.

I am sorry I can't remember. I think I phoned them. It was a way to earn more e-Bucks reward points a while ago.

Here is a question. Since this is my first month on EB with FnB, my first deposit will only go in on the 25th to make me qualify for EB.

Will, once I've qualified, all my spend since the start of the month be taken into consideration when EB are calculated to be paid out?

Can confirm. Activated in 30sec yesterday via phone.

I had to phone because my Online Purchase payments kept failing. Turns out it was VISA that was down for a few minutes. Then asked the assistant to please activate AA Roadside Assist on my cheque card. 5sec later I got the SMS that it was done.

Although she said it will only be active from next month.

Cost is now also R6/month.

I'm on Platinum/Premier.

If I desperately need cash, will I get penalized if I use the cardless withdrawal option on the app?

Or should I send an ewallet transaction to myself? Is that ok?

Are you ok the very "edge" of your reward level?
Cos sometimes I do an ATM withdrawal but I make sure my Cash@Till exceeds the ATM withdrawal amount so I still score some RL points... but I am usually 1500 RL points over RL5 so I can afford to do that without dropping a level.
Remember... eWallet costs about R10 per transaction, even for the minimum withdrawal.

I'm 500 points over. Rather just pay R10. So will do an eWallet transaction.

Good question, so the cardless withdrawal option is like using an ATM with a card, as far as RL points deduction is concerned?

IMO, I think it will count. Did you mean this is your first full month and that you signed up end of last month?
