Kilo, regardless of the technicalities: Cocaine is evil. It changes your personality and makes you only likeable by others under the spell of it. Normal people think you are an idiot. You think you are super cool. Whos actually correct?

Sounds like you are defending cocaine but I hope you arent. Also remember cocaine as people buy it is not pure and can contain anything to bulk it up (like rat poison) thus making the dealers and suppliers richer, the people taking it poorer and dumber and the rest of us footing the bill.

Thanks for this sane post Freshy; some comment - "cocaine is evil" - true, but there are many evil things in the world. Ignorance, poverty, abuse, etc.

And this is typical. I wish people would get some history - and some sense of perspective.

It is totally incorrect - to put up a news headline - TK died of cocaine overdose - similar to the Marco Pantani link. It is disinformation. Anti-education. And not the way to fight a drug scourge.

You might be right - but they way you are carrying on is a way to justify that "Cocaine is good.... Irresponsible usage is bad" - on that benchmark, all drugs are good, and as the psycologogists put it - "the social druggie" as "I can handle it"

TK is dead - there was cocaine involved.. there was most probably dagga too in a hubly bubbly, but does that make it OK ? I think not! As little kids look up at TK as a role model, you have just made cocaine or any drug usage as Justified.... now when your kids use cocaine for 'fun' , will you allow it? (ahh, cocaine doesnt kill, lack of oxygen does - now that is a kuk explaination in anyones books... a car crash will also kill you due to lack of oxygen to the brain)

Question to kilo39 : Will you allow your kids to use cocaine?
 
I don't think Kilo is supporting drug use, he's simply saying that drugs shouldn't be blamed for things they aren't responsible for.

I agree with that idea, at least. If you blame drugs for things they aren't responsible for, sceptics are going to start thinking that everything you pin on drugs is a load of dung - and then go and use them while ignoring the risks.

Some perspective - for the sheep on this thread.

Plain Fact: if there was any kind of education - any kind of reality - in information posted on this topic the world would be a better place. If there was any kind of reality - any kind of education - the kids of today, and the sufferers - would not be facing the new world of Crack, Tik, and the rest.

Anybody who thinks - would realise - the world has a long relation with drugs - going back to the caveman. Great civilizations were built in South America - predicated on cocaine. Many - if not most - great writers, playwrights, philosophers, and artists had a relation to cocaine or some other drug.

If I chose not to use cocaine - I do it on the basis of all history and education on the subject - not the kneejerk of the sheep on this thread.

Realise - that everything you ingest is a drug- whether it be coffee, nicotine, alcohol - or sugar. Perspective!

Why is the drug industry a multi-billion dollar enterprise - or are you so naive as to think people stuff drugs down other peoples throats unknowing?

There are far greater killers in the world than cocaine (or dagga as it is colloquially called in this country.) Look at the death rates - look at what is a motivator for violence, abuse, and ignorance. Much of which has been displayed on this thread.

Sheep to the slaughter - please line up here.

Cocaine is a pretty horrible drug that is now incredibly fashionable, personally, I never liked it. Did a line or two in the past and saw what it was doing to regular users ...

Yip, like any mind altering substance, if abused, it's dangerous - but hey - it's a free world.

I've tried a lot of drugs in my time and got tired of the lot of them, except a good old cold pint of beer or cider, a nice glass of wine, or a ciggarette.

Drug abuse is a sign of deeper issues - an escapism, an excuse - there's something missing from your life, some hardships you can't endure.

But drug use - hey, if you dabble here and there and err on the side of caution, enjoy it, but be warned, it's like having a tiger on a leash, it's a razors edge and eventually, just call it a day - you'll realise that it's a hollow excuse for enjoyment.

Life is amazing enough as it is, without needing to alter your brain to enjoy it ... (says matt while sipping on a cold cider :D )

But I would be careful of those links - do some more research, specifically on the "dagga" issue.

It HAS been proven that it has many useful medicinal properties, without a doubt. It's also an alternative to cotton and could really boost countries like South Africa if decriminalised - Hemp has been used throughout history to manufacture clothes, rope, oils, soap - you name it.

Those links give a basic indication, but contain factual inaccuracies - it's best to do more indepth research.

Anyone defending cocaine should really examine the severity of the situation and think carefully of what good can come from not taking a hard stand against it.
Cocaine is bad and tht's the end of it. Do not try to come to the defense of a drug that doesn't need any defense.
No one has ever said, "Wow, I made a positive difference in the world thanks to cocaine." There are those however who will tell you "Cocaine destroyed my life and everybody else around me"

For anyone to defend cocaine is irresponsible.
 
The Human cant control his smoking addiction! .. now controlling a cocaine addiction!

Would you allow your kids to use Cocaine? (and remember, we all are our parents children!)

I must ask myself: are people on this forum actually capable of communicating in the english language? Of understanding what is written? Yes, I am quite aware of the different words, names, parlance, whatever. If you cannot understand the language - get a dictionary - do some work - instead of posting drivel - so much, so little sense.
 
kilo not atacking u but just checking dagga got many different names but one of them is not cocaine and cocaine is a totally different drug
