TM doesn't support roaming (simsonke)

When I am on roaming by manual or automatic network selection, I can't seem to dial a certain 071 number however being connected to TM it works.

At first I queried TM via twitter who replied:

Hi, please check with the person you are calling as everything is ok on our side.^LM

I then sat down and found the pattern and informed them. TM then said:

Hi, please set your manual setting on manual and use Telkom Mobile coverage. ^FM

TM doesn't support roaming?
What if I can't get signal on TM at all and have to use roaming?

I found someone with similar issue online and it turned out to be a routing issue after a port and I did port to TM from Cellc...

I have a simsonke sim that I use for testing and such.
If no TM available it roams on MTN, but with limitations(or at least that was the case the last time I checked).
