Problem is I need a system within the next month and Sandy Bridge only comes out in Q1 2011

Then that I5 760 will work for you. Even if the new stuffs comes out, this won't be slow @$$ anytime soon...

All depends on what you're going to do with the RAM. I will probably upgrade to 8GBs of RAM because I don't only game. I run a lot of applications which will use massive amounts of RAM. I test a lot of web apps on my desktop before they go live on a server machine, I do CAD work, video and photo manipulation.

Then get 6cores. Seriously. They'll come in very handy.
