Today it's make or break or Nokia

I am not sure how WP8 will fair but according to TheVerge the end of Android tablets is nigh.

The fact is, Win8 has it all IMO. I am pretty sure the real battle will only be between WP8 and Win8 OEMs for market share 12 months from now. The battle will continue to be between the top 3 (Samsung, Nokia and Apple). Nokia is not going anywhere. It is staying in the game.

I never said such a thing. Stop with the strawmen, this is not the PD section.

Linux certainly is not trouble-free, but it is more stable than Windows.. which is why most of the worlds super computers run it. The instability of Windows lead to some epic events.... like losing control of an aircraft carrier and crashing the london stock market. Needless to say, they dont run Windows anymore.

I honestly cant think of an OS that is more unstable than windows. Not linux, not bsd, not OSX....

Heck, even one of the hallmarks of Windows is the blue screen of death caused by its instability...

Now saying that, I dont hate Windows. I have used it since windows 3.0 and still use it on my gaming pc. I just am a realist and am saying it how it is.

My PC at home is Win8. My PC at work is Kubuntu. My laptop is duel boot, Windows and Kubuntu.

I might be moving my gaming PC to OSX... or Linux... if Steam follows through with their promise to port to Linux. However, right here right now, windows is the best for playing on. Linux is the best for stability for work.

When you say Googlemail, do you mean @googlemail? Then try changing it to @gmail.com. It's interchangeable.

I'm not using strawmen, get off it already. Considering the lineage of Windows, it's extremely stable for majority of users. It certainly doesn't have hellish bugs like this one.

Yeah on Android and iOS it's interchangeable. On WP7, it doesn't appear to be.
 
@ Cerebus-On my Lumia 800 I run Ms Live and Gmail accounts successfully without any problems - Strange problem Cerebus. I have even imported my Gmail calender on to this device. Mr Cerebus do yourself a favor and pay a visit to www.wpcentral.com

It's not Gmail, it's Googlemail. An odd fellow that Google created in the UK for a time when they were beleaguered by copyright issues with the Gmail name. WP doesn't recognize it as a primary Gmail username.

So what happens if you replace 'googlemail' with 'gmail' in your logon and email address?
EDIT: seems the change isn't automatic as I assumed but it's easy enough to convert your googlemail to gmail according to this: http://support.google.com/mail/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=159001
