what you didn't take inot account on your theory on modems/user accounts etc, if your basis is tower A gives user x good speeds, and tower A gives user y Cr@p speeds.
Thats not where you have to end your theory, nodes have to be taken into account, I've seen 2 nodes of the same tower give completely different throughput, within 5 minutes of each other with the same modem.
As PROASM Said in the technical forum, enuff speculation, time to leave it to the experts.

dbbnet - tonight after the major disconnections/outage I got a consistent 10K/s from my tower. No changes whatsoever. It's not the end-user devices mate. I've frigging TESTED this. Remember the w-a-r-d-r-i-v-e?

We would have 2 modems next to each other, one doing reasonable, and the other sucking. Then, at the next tower - things would be swapped around.

As I mentioned, same hardware, same signal same kit got GOOD speeds in May. Now it's bad. Most of the time. At random times there will be a good streak.
