Peter was a proper hard arse by most accounts but, as I remember it, he took a lot of shares as part of the bonus that turned out to be bogus so got screwed himself. Also, as I have it, the collpase hinged around Zim sugar numbers and KZN property deals that fell through / turned out to be bogus.Sad thing really, knew Peter quite well
Stupid commentGood riddance to bad rubbish
The world would be a much better place if sugar was banned outright

Is the 10% a residual that is kept back till the cane yield of each delivery is determined?![]()
Tongaat Hulett liquidation 'could cripple' R19bn sugar economy
KZN warns Tongaat Hulett liquidation could hit R19bn sugar industry, threatening jobs, growers and the rural economy.www.ecr.co.za
I stopped drinking coke with sugar in it. Im so sorry. Im not helping.
I don't care much for sugar but all the job losses this will cause is truly terrifying.
Yup, there must be plenty of other businesses that were reliant on TH that will now go under too...
Hopefully parts of the company can be rescued.
Nkosazana would be proud. Every nanny state approves of what you just said.#sugarmustfall

...and the irony here, is Im not even being sarcastic. They honestly would approve. I love my sugar, but I know the health consequences of it.
But I prefer the freedom of choice side of this debate. Its their bodies, they can do what they want to them. Nkosazana would not approve of my opinion.
The line is more "no one is free until we are all free". Safety is optional in life.No one is safe until we are all safe!
Remember that line you used to parrot like a good little boy?

No, I grew up in a school system developed by apartheid. They didnt train us to think like that. Thats something you figure out for yourself. I grew up with nationalists. We sang sons about flags and stuff. Is that what you sang while banging on your pots and pans? You should have payed more attention to what everyone else was singing
