Too far from the Telkom exchange?

OKay.

I believe there are many of you with this issue.
I live in an area too far from the exchange, and although the exchange has upto 4mb, I am only on 1mb/sec. Very frustrating.

So, I spoke to a Telkom Techy today and he reckons that if enough people in a certain area call into Telkom (new services) enough times to moan to say that they want the fastest, they will more than likely install a mini-dslam in that affected area.

Now, instead of me handing out flyers, i figured I'd try start a thread so we can post on here the areas that we live in that are too far from the exchange. That way, we know that we are not the only ones, and we can call Telkom and bitch about it and hopefully, one day, get a mini-dslam installed down the road.

What do you guys think?

Never mentioned anything about World Peace.
BUt hey, who knows... Maybe a kid in a family who couldn't get internet before is able to get after we make a big enough fuss about this and becomes the next Gandhi, or Mandela because of the internet.

Or... the next Manson, or Bush.

I know a few of the residents here, and there are a lot of people who are not able to get ADSL/Fast ADSL as the exchange is too far from this area.
The closer you are to the dam, the less chance of you having ADSL.
