Yeah, It hard to believe thats how useless they are, even recently there was headlines about "blacks can't swim" or maybe they are just not interested. So Yeah close down the sport because there is only whites that can compete.

if every team is handicapped by the one player of colour included then they all competing on the same level but honestly I don't believe that there no players of colour good enough... the same crap was being spued by the provincial rugby bosses 3 seasons ago and cricket and and and... make the bloody effort!!!
 
Does that mean throughout the time Cape town knew and agreed to include a player of colour, they couldnt even get an official to be part of the team? There's a theory that Blacks cant participate in some sports. well due to demographics and unequal distribution of opportunities blacks had no resources to excell on those sports and today they are been judged. I say good move, until the majority are given equal play feilds, laws have to implemented to drive the message home.

And then the exulted political admin fools travel for free. Staying in hotels, accompanied with their partners (going to use the room in any case), feast three times a day and then buggerup the whole tournament!

Most of the provinces couldn't find a single player of colour. What is the admins problem? The sport doen't have blacks participating. They are not interested. They cant swim on the surface, forget being dumped under. In this case the quota will drown.

If you cant find one black in a province, what is there to transform.

These black admins are punks!!!!

Yeah it is because fools with that exact though pattern is in government positions and in charge of sport that that creates this issues.

Stop the sport or competition until blacks are on par? Who will want to enter that sport then, not even blacks? Sport is a selective activity by individuals with special interest is that activity. If there is no carrot then there is no interest. This is not China or Russia where people are specifically developed from very young age. In fact this government is doing fucuckall to develop sport in real terms. So those that invested private funds must now suffer because useless idiots makes the decision.

So Yeah let the laws kill the sport. That is how you Fucuckup everything in this country


Just lay the foundation and let government develop sports from root/ school levels. They have done little in 13 Years so it will take another 13-20 years for this sport to be accepted...or never!

Are you saying these provinces were so stupid that they did not know what was going to happen. They could not find a perpetually disadvantaged player at any club. There are no blacks playing water polo. Point.:mad:

Putting someone in a team that doesnt belong there is NOT equalling any playing field. Do the right thing and equal the playing fields where it matters. Putting someone in a national squad will maybe better THAT person, it will not better the rest of the kids in the undeveloped areas.

Leave the squads alone and spend resources on upgrading facilities and awareness where it will make a difference ... with the KIDS!

It's quite a big F.U. slap in the face to anyone who is denied a spot in a national team after years of hard work because of his skin pigmentation ... and an equally hard slap in the face to someone who is coloured, being put in a team, knowing whole heartedly there's someone else out there better than him.

I'm all for transformation, but don't cut off your nose to spite your face.
 
we not talking about national squad, we talking about provincial squad. the quota implies one player or manager of colour per provincial team, hardly unreasonable but for 5 provinces it was...
 
talk about cut your nose to spite your face, imagine if habana or ntini pre 1994 never represented SA in the national capacity, how many players of their calibre never had the opportunity to compete due to policy? it was a simple and meagre quota of 1 player of colour per province which was not honoured!! feable...

My point exactly, all other provinces could find one and our beloved Cape town found no one. Mmh" call it slap in the face or f** qouta but if it has to be enforced, let it be.
 
Doesnt make a difference if the only had to find 1 person or fill the whole team and management with players of the 'right' colour, it is a racist policy in the extreme.

3 months before a tournament if bordering on pushing t to agree what a team should or should not consist of.


That said it is hardly unreasonable to expect there to be at least one player/person as part of the team if not more even, but without to much brainstorming it becomes blatantly apparent that if this was indeed the case, then why did they not enforce that during the provincial trials when the teams were selected????
Were there any players there to choose from and if so are they at least able to tread water?

Wat percentage of trialists were of the 'right' colour at the provincial trials when these teams were selected whenever and why does it take a provincial 'tournament' to peg this down.

Have any of these people involved in this sports management ever played the sport? Can they swim?

Zapiro I think had a wonderful cartoon about EE/Quota's, Santa's sleigh being pulled along by one reindeer and then a whole bunch of barnyard animals. (chickens, ducks, cows, dogs etc)
We live in a messed up society.
