I've just been over to the SGS forums, and BOY are some people whining about getting noob tubed*.

Because I'm a sadistic bastid, I think we should all go one night as assault class, and noob tube the kuk out of ppl. What do you guys say? :D

why dont ppl complain about get killed by a tank? same thing

its a gun and its part of the gun

i personally moan when i get killed by it lol but i dont want it removed from the game
 
i find the GL better at taking out those pesky snipers from rooftops... they never know what hit them... :D
 
It's an ego thing. You don't feel so bad being gunned down by a tank, but feel hard done by getting a grenade in the face.

I personally don't see anything unrealistic about it. If you're that stationary/close/alone that he can hit you, booboo shucks! Where's the rest of your squad to cover your a$$ or resusitate you?
 
must be the lone rangers who moan about it mostly... :p
 
in close quarters the DAO12 is lekka, but its reload is a death kiss... i just wish the AT missiles would have larger splash damage...
 
ive killed 12000 ppl of the 15000 with anti tank kit

now im doing the whole medic thing much funner

on the topic of noobing

Grenade launchers aren't really effective in close range combat, you have to have a direct hit to kill an enemy, or you will miss them, and its easy to do damage to yourself. Some people are actually very proficient with the grenade launchers in close ranges, and long ranges. Though using grenade launchers on people point blank is generally frowned upon. Unless you are using it in one of the situations described in lenght above, you should keep the assault rifle out. Nothing is more annoying then confronting someone to have him switch to a grenade launcher and blow you away without so much of a fight from him. If you run into someone that is firing bullets at you, answer with bullets, its very unsportsmanlike to then blow the other guy away with the grenade launcher.

lol... so if i meet somebody in a tank he should pop out and shoot back bullets at me? :D

If I've got the upper hand with weaponry, I'll take it.

Only once have I whipped out a knife when someone came at me with one.
Had a lovely knife fight for quite awhile before I killed him. :D

Other people tend to be completely unsporting when I run at them with a knife, and shoot me instead. *sigh*

I'm always up for a knife fight, it's exciting :)
 
well.. if am low on health and have a GL i will use that instead... the best use of a knife is to go prone and aim for the ankles... one hit and voila... humping necrophilia! :D
 
too bad BF2 doesnt have the kungfu kicks ala FEAR... imagine 48 people doing kung-fu all over the map... :D

Usually for knifings I'm crawling up behind a guy who's already lying down... so I end up jabbing him in the @ss. Fun. :D
 
LOL @ the ass comments.
Me loves noob tubing in assault at karkard and dat other map with the hill - expecially taking out the VC guys - and I know they moan and moan and moan about it like krayzeeee. But it's soo kewl - they run about in a relatively tight bunch, so one grenade can really be productive, and then just wait 4 seconds - oh look - they're all revived - boom - LOL.
