You have to be really stupid to fall for it. Spread via e-mail, you have to download the attachment (already a red light), which is a zip folder (another red light). When you open the pdf and an executable pops up you gotta know something is up. Plus the pdf, or exe rather consists of random letters - another red light. Also if you click on it once you will see under that it's a exe and not a pdf.
If your computer is part of a botnet network you are even more stoopid for not having proper anti malware installed. It's just like any other malware, the same clueless people will fall for it, except that this time they will have to pay for their cluelessness.
