That alone is why i prefer to shop at Makro, they a no nonsense return type shop, closely followed by Game. But if my "memory" servers me correct, Makro and Game are both owned by the same holding company, but Makro is the holding companies baby, their flagship store if you will, so they will always have better company policy at Makro.
But this said, Makro staff = fail, try find someone to help you get something off teh top shelf (10-15 high), lol!

This is correct, mass discounters own both makro and game (and dionwired, builders warehouse, jumbo traders, and some more i cant recall).
And come on everyone, stop complaining about KFC.... i'm sure none of you will say no to a nice streetwise 5 right now (no matter how crap the service was).... ok maybe i shouldn't post when i'm hungry.....

i also find checkers stinky. they always put the fruit, smelly cheese and fish together. i avoid the perishables aisle. checkers = smelly and ugly.
i wouldn't buy anything from hi-fi corp or incredible connection of much value. heard far too many horror stories.
game generally has horribly inept, hard to find sales staff who suddenly emerge from the reef once you're heading for the till (they make commission by stabbing a sticker with their initials onto your item)
makro would be great if i didn't have to drive for an hour to get to one. but their website has the best inventory control of any mass retailer in this country.
i know that on most mass market items, game will be cheap and close, so i try going to a mall which has a game and at least one other option. i've already made up my mind by the time i'm there, so that i don't have to ask the sales staff any questions.
now, if we could just swap game and makro store locations around, i'd be happier...

Why? I've never had a problem with Game - they're one of the few places that don't argue over warranty issues.

Game is actually ok, bought my TV there, but besides that...
....what a joke....
I would have thought that while they're busy with awards that
"Fanta Grape" would be product of the year,
Any "Tyler Perry" movie would be best movie of the year,
Watermelon juicest fruit of the year,
and the Toyata Hi-ace, car of the year...

nice thing about game, is that they do price-matching... so take a makro (or any other retailer) flyer to game and they'll give it to you for the same price... and then you get a better warranty, and more stores in convenient places...
