Top Gear S22

Well what I learned from EP5, or more likely confirmed what I'd heard before is that Mclaren are fine with a comparison, but only if the other cars are customer cars and not factory prepared, Ferrari only want a prepared car to be used and Porsche couldn't really care.
Not to mention the fact that Ferrari actually seem to threaten their customers that testing their " The Ferrari The Ferrari" will get them into trouble. Bloody cheek in my mind. (still want one though)
But honestly, they made these crazy cars, let people get on with them and decide which one they think is better. I dont think that it will really sway the opinions of those that already own one, both....or... all three!!!
At least to me Porsche looks the coolest cat here....oh you bought our car, awesome...you want to race it and test it against other cars? Sure go for it.
My thoughts...the Porsche is going to run the other 2 very close on the TG track and they dont like that prospect.

oh and the Peugeot bashing (pun intended :) )......HYSTERICAL

Here's a dude with all three....

Sounds like the pressure has changed Ferrari's mind, they have agreed to supply a car, according to Clarkson on TG tonight. Now it's Porsche playing silly buggers that they haven't got a car available.

Ferrari vs McLaren now on, just awaiting the Porsche.

Fsck this, I can't watch like this. Will pirate and watch at midnight. They can take their R700 and shove it after the cricket world cup...

Agree - seems it is back to downloading again as DSTV can't seem to get this simulcast thing right.

They totally ruined Topgear tonight. I hope they apologize and do a rerun and get rid of the idiot at the control desk.

Last few minutes of the show was filled with DSTV banners, etc. and when they cut back to the live feed the credits were rolling.

Naspers is adopting the advertising business model, value added service is being replaced by ads to add value in return. This in essence is B2B, how much value is added to B2C by Naspers nowadays?

When I hinted at Adsense, this is exactly what Multichoice did with their DSTV banners. Google did it, Amazon did it, Naspers will do it, advertising revenue streams can get real ugly with the subscriber market. Pay-to-see-ads, these ads need to be discreet while adding value to the advertiser, DSTV as the publisher is very inexperienced in this instance as with the Top Gear case.

Over and above the sport channels, I find it very hard to believe that there are still people watching series and movies on DSTV. I know of many people who have the full package, only for sports, but rather download and watch series, documentaries and movies from other sources. MC is one stupid company who will never get a cent from me.
