Top gear sidekicks announced

Chris Harris I'll watch. But I think he might be too serious for the show.
 
Sabine should be interesting. I enjoyed what I saw of Chris Harris on Youtube. Chris Evans looks a right nutter but getting them all to gel a la the old Top Gear is going to be right impossile IMO.

David Coulthard put me to sleep once as an F1 commentator - Hope he keeps his clap shut and just drives the cars.

It's going to be old Top Gear on steroids (hopefully). From what's reported the new Amazon show has a bigger budget than the old TG show.

Is that the budget towards the end of the BBC show, or around the middle? I'm watching reruns some evenings and you can see the budget was much higher some years back.

It's so much more it would be more than at any stage of the BBC production.

According to the Telegraph, Clarkson's Amazon show will receive a budget of around $7 million an episode.

That's a considerable bump over "Top Gear's" $1.5 million-per-show budget, which was one of the largest on the BBC.

The only reason I would watch is for Chris Harris. Thoroughly enjoy his reviews on YouTube. Sabine is a bit meh. However that main dude...
