Top gear sidekicks announced

Can't believe Chris Harris will be on! I was hoping it would be him and Alex Goy (the guy from XCar). What an incredible lineup that would have been, and a deserved boost to his career.

I don't mind David Coulthard, but Sabine Schmitz will be hard to listen to with her weird accent and mannerisms.
 
Virtually Unknown Chris Harris? WTF?

He is THE petrolhead of the moment.

Apparently the best one that we don't deserve going by that "unknown" comment.

If anything Chris Harris will have me actually watching it.

Yeah...stupid Telegraph report is stupid...

"Unknown" my backside. The dude is hot property at the moment & rightly so.
 
I'll watch a few episodes due to Chris Harris......

IF they try follow the old Top Gear format in any way shape or form it won't work... For Chris Harris to work it needs to be a serious car review with a smattering of humour thrown in. Sabine I'm on the fence about, she had a bit of spunk about her when she appeared on the old Top Gear..

+1 We will have to wait and see if this meshes at all.

I'm not a fan of Chris Evans

Funny how top gear thinks they are the brand of the show - yet they do not understand why they are failing.

According to an article with the bbc it was Jeremy and other who made the show

I agree, and it's why it's such a crying shame that they didn't have a trio of Chris Evans, Chris Harris and Alex Goy (XCar). Oh boy, the discussions those 3 could have had. And they're all British and clearly audible.

I'm not sold on Chris Evans tbh.... I will have to watch a few episodes to see if he isn't HIGHLY annoying, but I expect him to be.. :(

I've never really experienced Alex Goy so can't comment but Chris Harris is epic.

Just watch some of Harris's Youtube channel. I like him. He'll bring some much needed humour and light heartedness to the show. His knowledge of cars is pretty incredible, which won't hurt.

You can check out Alex Goy on the XCar Youtube channel if you feel so inclined. Possibly the best car channel on Youtube. Goy is the main reviewer, with the baldish head and glasses.

Not so sure that'll work.

I'll give it a try - but if they attempt to emulate the other 3 exactly it is going to be painful to watch.
