Hi Everyone,

I need to have a shoulder op. Does anyone have some recommendations on a good doc in CT, Pta or Jhb?

Edit: He might specialize with hands, but I'm sure if you give his rooms a call they can refer you if need be.

I live in CT and have family in JHB and PTA, so just looking for the best surgeon. I've read some bad reviews, so just want to make sure I go to the best one.

You're going to want to go in for checkups whenever things bother you.

Definitely agree with you. Still happy to fly up to Gauteng if I need to get a check up and its another reason to see family.

Just more concerned with making sure the doc is one of the best.

You're being unrealistic. If you've got a pain or something the last thing you want is to wait while you arrange the next flight out, sit on a plane for 3 hrs etc. Had minor surgery a few months ago and I've seen the surgeon 5 times since. You really want your surgeon close to home.
 
Also - if for some reason parts of SA go into lockdown and you can't fly to your surgeon when there's a problem...what then?

Even the “best” doctor will have some form to f complication rate. If he never messed up then he is not doing enough surgeries or he is lying.

Don’t rely on google reviews. Many bad reviews are due to payment issues that people turn into other complaints

Because he is the best in cape Town.... Very well known.
My ex snapped his clavicle, literally snapped in two, right through his clothes. Vrettos did an amazing job
