Top tips for selecting a broadband solution and hardware

Why was ADSL the best security wise, because you have a router? I suppose if you assume that you can't have a router on wireless tech, but anyone on iBurst or WiMax would have a router if they needed it for ADSL anyway. Which also makes no difference between them and ADSL for networking... why does the articles make as if those apply only to ADSL?

Maybe they were referring to the inherent insecurity of wireless communications which can be tapped into with relative ease.
WEP is a plain waste of time (flawed design) and WPA can often be cracked unless it was set up by someone who knows what they are doing.

With ADSL the connection between your premises and your ISP is reasonably secure without the need for all sorts of encryption algorithms. Someone would really have to know what they are doing and have the equipment to tap into your line.
