Top TV Music Channels

Are any of the channels comparable to Trace or MTV on DSTV? R&B genre?
 
Honestly, I think the music channels are even better than what DSTV have to offer.
Sure, I miss MTV for the other shows but with this much decent choice, I don't really care.

I think it boils down to preference, which channels play R&B genre? Need to know before confirming which package i am taking.

They have BET, but I don't have TopTV so maybe the other subscribers can help you with the others. Most people here seem to like rock/metal.

True, my search showed the guys all excited about Kerrang. I am more the R&B type person hence the reason me being interested in which, if any of their channels offer this.

Looks like I was mistaken on BET too. Check toptv.co.za for a list (which doesn't help you decipher the genres very well).

Tried that before i posted. Doesn't really explain much. I'm sure 1 of the TTV subscribers will respond.
 
For R&B there are only 1 or 2 audio channels but no video channels really, other than BET which plays R&B occassionally.

Also, I'm not at home now to confirm but I'm fairly certain Trace is one of the channels on TTV as well although I'm probably just confused.
 
Kiss Channel plays R&B, urban and hip-hop. Now and again you will see some R&B on Magic Channel and some on Smash Hits Channel. Nigezie also caters for hip-hop and some R&B. The music channels are very comprehensive on TopTV. From heavy metal to a enture channel dedicated to Classical. C music channel is light clasical, soft background music. I personally rate the music video channels the best deal and makes the TopTv package value for money. These channels are only on the premium expensive bouquets of BSkyB and Virgin Media in the UK.

IIRC, Q channel also plays R&B and Smash is very similar to MTV. I also love the C music channel.

Imo the TTV music channels are a lot better than that of DSTV.
